It is a tiny little hotel in Monmartre area in a walking distance from Moulin Rouge and Pigalle. Thrre are plenty of cafe and restaurants around. We appreciated the cleaness and courtesy of the staff.

The absolute worst exp
Absolute rubbish. This is more like a motel or hostel than a hotel. I was charged $355/night for this junk. But on their website rooms are going for $89 so hotels.com is scamming. They gave us a room that was quite literally next to the registration desk. As in we heard every conversation and bump throughout our nights sleep. One hotel guest was up and taking until 4am at reception. The bathroom was so small you could not close the shower door otherwise you wouldn’t be able to get out. I have started at 100s of hotels and I have never seen such false advertising of a room or hotel.

Fantastic location in Montmartre, lovely helpful staff. Hotel rooms very small and basic. It was also very hot when we were there and there is no A/C or fans. The bar across the road was very noisy on a Friday night until 3am so with noise and heat not much sleep was had. The staff then got us a fan and the next 2 nights were quieter so overall it was OK.

Charming and great location in Montmartre
Hotel Bonsejeour Montmartre is in an amazingly beautiful, hilly, friendly, artsy section of Paris near Sacre Coeur with an abundance of cafes, bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants, and art galleries. It is walking distance from many other Paris sites, and also near 2 Metro stations for easy transportation to other sites. The hotel reception staff is wonderful, very helpful, and friendly. While there was no refrigerator in our room, the staff let us use their refrigerator for medication storage. There is a great, small, grocery store directly across the street. The rooms were cozy, functional, with comfortable beds. Our room had several beautiful windows that open outward for the most delightful views and breeze, along with a strong fan. We stayed in 2 room right across from each other, which was perfect. Would definitely stay again!

I really love this hotel! The room had a balcony with a beautiful view of Monmartre rooftops. Staff was super lovely and helpful. The room is small, which I love, but just letting others know. Does feel bigger with huge windows open though. Besides, this neighborhood is for walking around…That said, with the balcony and view it is intimate and definitely romantic if traveling with a partner. Ignore reviews of any hotel in this neighborhood of people complaining about noise. Monmartre is noisy and filled with late night cafés. It’s the charm of the area! Hope this helps people. I will be staying here again!!

The property is in central Montmartre with easy access to the bars and restaurants and the Sacre Coeur area. Staff are friendly and helpful seeing to people's needs, such as the wi-fi and how to find the Metro which is 5 minutes away. The only thing is that we paid for breakfast which wasn't available when we were there, as the person that provided it was unwell.

Mattress cover is a deal breaker
As others have mentioned, the location of this hotel cannot be beat, and the price is excellent as well. My complaint is that the bed had a heavy plastic mattress cover on it that made noise when I moved and trapped all of the heat between the cover and the mattress. My visit was in December and I was too hot to sleep well, but there was no sheet to provide light cover. I alternated being too hot or too cold all night.

Europe tour 2019
Hotel staff were very friendly and helped us out when we had questions. Spoke limited English but we’re open to trying and again very friendly. A couple of younger front desk staff spoke English better which made things easier as my wife and I don’t speak and French unfortunately. The shuttle service to the airport however is an issue. This service is independent from the hotel owners and needed to be booked in advance which was fine. The shuttle driver couldn’t speak any English and appeared very rude and abrupt and seemed to have very little patience with attempted communication. Even when you can’t speak each other’s language, at least you can be friendly with a smile, and most times things can be figured out with a few laughs. Sorry to the Hotel but this reflects poorly on your business, which is good. The driver needs to change or get a new one.

We only spent one night at the hotel as we were leaving to go back home the next day. The room was sufficient for the one night and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is a little small for an extended stay, but overall was fine for what we needed.

The only nice thing was the friendly girl at reception. The hotel was not clean. My room had plastic floors.The bathroom was tiny and the shower did not work. The hair dryer only blew cold air. Just a terrible hotel all in all.

Ok, I guess...
It's a cramped, small room. But the service is good overall (we stayed in a room with a private bathroom). All sounds in the hallway can easily be heard in the room. There was a washroom near us where those with no in-room washroom were going to shower, etc... you could hear people going by all night. Wifi is slow and very unreliable. The area, like many areas in Paris, doesn't have actual 4G coverage - 3G-only. If you need internet during your trip (e.g. for planning your trip, checking on work, etc) find a hotel with good WiFi.. If not for the very friendly staff, the hotel wouldn't have the little redeeming qualities.

Good comfortable rooms
Drains in first room were smelly and the bathroom window looked out onto the street, although frosted it didn’t have any blinds, so we moved to an alternative room, which was fine, it was quite small but comfortable enough as a room to sleep in. Very well located for Monmatre, lots of bar and eating areas near by. Staff were friendly and helpful

The staff were wonderful; very kind, helpful and accommodating. The location was great and close to several train routes, restaurants and shopping. We were surprised that the room was fairly small at first but it wasn't an issue. They had a fridge downstairs if we needed to use it and offered breakfast.

Great and very clean accommodations in a fantastic part of Montmartre. Just off the main thoroughfare, it's close enough to be right where you want yet quiet after you've filled yourself with fois gras and wine. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant. Making an attempt to speak French is very helpful, and if you're as polite as you should be as a guest in a foreign place, you'll find that the graciousness is extended 10 fold. Very close to Sacre Coeur and the Abessess Metro, this is a fantastic place for the traveler who wants a true French experience.

The property was well kept, pretty basic and a five minute walk from Moulin Rouge and the Blanche metro stop across the street. The staff was VERY nice, very friendly and helpful. There are a bunch of bars and restaurants on the surrounding streets that cater to Americans with English menus. There are plenty of bakeries with pastries to die for, also close by.

Had a great stay. The staff were friendly and very keen to help my mum and I with directions on how to move around the city. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience, would definitely stay there again.

IN THE HEART OF MONTMARTRE
Small but neat place close to most facilities. Refitted in 2015, it was chosen for its location and we were not disappointed. It has no bar or restaurant but suited our needs completely. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Almost useless WiFi...extremely slow. No air-conditioning...was comfortable when we stayed there in Sep but would’ve been miserable in the summer. Very noisy at night all days of the week with lots of bars/loud crowds till 1:30am....then early morning noise starts about 6:30am. You can’t keep windows open...I used ear plugs. Very nice people who work there...speak English. Clean room. Lots of things to do in area with lots of restaurants, bars, grocery across street, art galleries, bakeries, subway within 3 min walk.

Just right.
It was a perfect place for us to stay while exploring the area. There was so much to see and do and the hotel was in a great location close to all of it. Parking was a challenge and a bit expensive but that is the norm in this area I think.

We booked this at the last minute so the cost was $365 for a room for myself , my wife and 13 and 10 year old. The room we were given was behind the lobby / reception desk of the hotel (I mean it backed onto the checkin desk) so we could hear the phone ringing all night long and also whenever people were in the lobby we could hear them talking - this was most of the night. the room was very very small and it had a bad smell of mold (see pictures) when we complained to the hotel about the smell they said it was the room oderizer!! it was not.. The beds were ok and the location is amazing but the bad smell , the mold and holes in the ceiling of the bedroom and the bathroom meant the stay was very unpleasant. Will not be going back to the hotel

I was very disappointed by the hotel especially that it’s located in Montmartre which is very touristic. My room wasn’t cleaned at all after being used. The staff gave me the keys and once I got to the room, the door was half closed, cups in the bathroom sink, beds weren’t even cleaned, towels on the floor... Basically, no one made sure that the room was cleaned between the check out and my check in. They had to call someone and give me a different room. Besides the fact that the hotel looks pretty weird, the rooms aren’t bad. However, I wouldn’t recommend this place!

The view from my balcony was exactly what I dreamed of. The area is perfect for walking to Sacre Couer, the metro station near Moulin Rouge and more cafés, bars, restaurants than you could want. The rest of the hotel is nothing special but it is clean and quiet.

The WHOLE hotel under construction.
Room was filled and covered with dust. Hallway floors were uneven as if an earthquake had hit the building. Room smelled like paint, breakfast is actually NOT included in price although Expedia advertises that it is. I will no longer use Expedia, nor will I ever visit this hotel again.

A hotel where there are more locals than tourists
My husband and I stayed in Montmartre Hotel Bonsejour for a couple of days. What attracted me was the proximity location to various key areas in Montmartre. This hotel exceeded this need by far! We enjoyed eating at various adorable restaurants in the area and in the evenings enjoyed some drinks on the patio as we people watched. There's a store literally right across the street. Sacre Coeur is 10 minutes away, as is Moulin Rouge. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage without probs. I liked that we were more in an area with locals as opposed to tourists. The room was small but perfect for the 2 of us. No AC on the top floor of very warm days in Paris springtime, but opening all the windows gave some great ventilation.

This is in a very central location in Montmartre. It is being newly renovated and the new rooms are clean and neat. Beware, some private rooms don't have toilets. Triple check before booking. There is an elevator. This is located across from two late-night bars so people can be loud until 2am. There is no heating and cooling but there is a plug in heater which is sufficient. The shower is too tiny for tall or big bodied people. On the 5th floor, the hot water fluctuates between warm and hot which is severely annoying. Great staff, daily cleaning, elevator. Cheap airport shuttle!!!

The location is amazing

Good locatiin in heart of Montmarte district in paris, short walk to Sacre Coeur Cathedral, Blanche metro station, Moulin Rouge & lots of restaurants with awesome little french bar across the street. Room was adequate, clean & warm but was a little noisy with street noise and bathroom was cold as no heating. Was a nice budget hotel, needs some updating in areas but would stay again.
