Overall good time, next door to a big train station so it’s easy to get anywhere. Food options are everywhere. If you prefer walking it’s not hard to walk to a lot of sites.

Room was very noisy due to trains that seemed to be every 15 seconds. However room was lovely and spacious and beds very comfortable.

Nice little hotel, convenient to train stations, restaurants nearby. Very clean, comfortable bed, decent size room for Paris hotels. I would recommend.

The staff were great and the location to the metro is just across the road which takes you anywhere in Paris. Many dining area close by also . Room was fine , simple and clean .overall everything it was good.

Room size was ok, some chipping paint and shower was leaking and spraying all over the floor. Cityscape bedframe has accumulated years of dust behind it.

Hotel is VERY old! Street in front of the hotel is blocked off, had to pull luggage 2 blocks from side street. Hard to access. Breakfast was very good, cute breakfast room. Bed rooms small as is the bath rooms. Staff as helpful bit speak little english. Subway runs under hotel you can hear it rumble.

Liked that it was close to train station, 5 min walk to the train station. The water in the shower was slow to drain down the tap. Hard to take a shower, felt like the water was splashing out of the shower area .

Although Paris hotels are v expensive, the room was v small and overpriced at £190 without breakfast. Up at 5am for 6am train out of Gare De Lyon v nearby, but could have saved that money napping in the station!

Small but optimized space
Room was clean. But the room is quite small. Not very comfortable to work in the room. So i would not recommend it for business trip. Otherwise it is a fine option for tourism and location is perfect.

This hotel was perfect for my family and I. The staff were very friendly and polite. The train station is only a few blocks down and there was a Starbucks close by. The hotel breakfast is wonderful. We were in Paris for about 3 days and loved this location and was able to visit Versailles, Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. The family room was small but it made no difference since all we needed was clean and comfortable beds and that was fulfilled! We loved Paris!!!

When we arrived we got informed that the hotel was fully booked even if we had received a confirmation for our booking. Was not want you want when you are coming with taxi and big bags!

I’ve book BestWestern hotel, but on the check up day I’ve find out that BW is refurbishing and been move to Alexandrie hotel, if I get room upgrade or free breakfast as apology for inconvenience I would be less disappointed, but nobody offer nothing, despairing price difference between BW and Alexandrie. Not good experience at all. Very thin wall, you can hear everything what is happening around you, small and very dark room. Nothing in the room (COVID excuse), every time you go out you have to leave your key at the reception (god knows what this was about), twice in the row room service in the morning just march to my room without even knocking, you not allowed to eat in your room, this was biggest problem for me as I like to stay indoors watch movies, chill and have a pizza etc. Not possible (another COVID excuse). However reception staff very friendly only good thing from staying in this place

Pros Excellent location. Less than 10 minutes walk to Bastille Square, Gare de Lyon and the tube station. Bakery, bar and restaurants are nearby. Business owner was very helpful and nice. Cons We were asked to check in this hotel when we arrived at the hotel we booked. We were disappointed that the room was completely different with what we booked. After some negotiations the business owner was able to accommodate another room that satisfied us. When we back at around 6pm our room was not cleaned up and the used towels which according to the hotel instruction we have to put at the place for a new one was also not done. We reported this to the concierge and they said the responsible worker was off and they will do it on next day for us. We think all of the above can be improved.

I reached the hotel at 630 PM for check in (check in time was 1PM) and was given the room. When i went to the allotted room, the cleaning lady was still working on my room. I went down and asked for replacement, i was told there are no other rooms available for the category i booked in. When asked if i could check out later as i had late flight, i was denied that too. The rooms were too small and were very depressing, the pictures are completely misrepresenting the reality.

Strange but nice
Hotel was well situated for the purpose of our trip. Required it to be close to the Guarde Austeritze. Room was clean but strange. The floor was uneven giving the impression that it was tilted. Felt like I was on ship sailing in the ocean.

Everything was great would stay here again for sure. only thing and its small, but they didn't clean our cups rather just wiped them and no more coffee left. the coffee and tea should look like it did the first night and milk oh yeah and towels please leave towels after the first night. apart from that room was great and balcony and location very nice. thanks

The wifi was not working. I was unable to use during the whole stay, also the machine wasn't working so I had to go to am ATM to withdraw cash to pay the tourist tax. My shower was missing one sliding door so the water sprayed out into the bathroom.

Was arriving in Paris and needed a place near the Gare de Lyon (train) station. This was the perfect place for that and there are great restaurants very close.
