“Good base in Ottawa”

We wanted a hotel just outside the main downtown area but within walking distance of the sights. This hotel delivered and was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful if a bit uninspiring; there was a kitchenette in the room with tea and coffee supplies, and the staff were professional and helpful. 20 minute pleasant walk to the Parliament buildings.

if you want a really decent place to stay that is near to the main city center yet quiet and not in the middle of all the activity then this is the place to stay. rooms are large and very clean, local transport is just outside the hotel (takes 5 mins by bus to city) and staff are excellent. breakfast is continental, nice and cheerful.

“Does what it says on the tin”

This hotel was fine. Good value for money and comfortable enough. Location was good for both walking into the city centre (and for a run along the canal too) as well as quick access to the main highway. The underground parking was reasonable ($17CAD/day), comparing to outdoor car parks nearby which were charging from $15-20/day. The breakfast buffet provided a decent selection. Also free WiFi throughout the hotel was nice to have too.
