"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very kind. The location is incredibly convenient and the rooms are quiet and clean. The only complaint would be that the shower door leaked, but otherwise everything was perfect. The all day snacks and coffee in the bar area was appreciated. The breakfast was somewhat small but had everything you would need to start the day. I would stay here again for sure!"

"The staff at Le Phenix are amazing . Always friendly. I felt comfortable with them. They are gracious for we English speakers who have less than rudimentary French (I practiced! Really I did!) The rooms have good AC if necessary. The restaurant associated with the hotel is shockingly good. Such a wonderful lunch! We did not have the breakfast buffet because we eat so light, we did not find value. I do wish there was a hot water kettle in the room. Beds are comfortable. Our room was spacious. Housekeeping services were complete. Room was quiet. The location is convenient to many buses. We walked from Gare de Lyon part- Dieux, but I would recommend the C13 ir the TB 11 for an easier trip if you have bags. The location of Le Phenix is a perfect place to be close to Croix- Rousse, all the 1st and 2nd Arr’nt, the bus to Maison des Canuts, Fourviére, and all of Vieux Lyon. I want to make another shout out to the staff. And oh! The Jambone- Buerre sandwich as a picnic lunch? Just say oui merci!"

"This small hotel is well located within walking of old city and great restaurants. Junior suite in tower was beautiful. First class in all respects. Fantastic breakfast. Very helpful staff that provided over the top service. Highly recommended."

"Great location, extremely helpful staff, comfortable bed. I would give it five stars except the room layout was perplexing. The toilet, shower and sitting area were downstairs, the sink, bath tub and bed were in an upstairs loft. Couldn’t the toilet and sink be on the same level?"
