It was a nice location and staff. But i occasionally saw a roach or two. The small ones, but i learnt its just a thing you see on the island. Overall good experience.

Our family of 4 (kids 5 and 7) for 9 nights enjoyed our stay at Waikiki Malia. It is a solid property. We stayed in the renovated studio and it’s exactly as pictured. The staff were great. The location of hotel is great and very convenient to Waikiki beach and shops. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were small but clean. No microwave in room, which was a bit inconvenient but for the price in comparison to other hotels in the area, it was fine. The parking is a bit tight, use caution while maneuvering. We’ll miss Edwin in the parking lot who was very friendly. Will stay again here next time we are in Oahu!

Clean room and warm staff. Great location with 5-10min walk to the beach. The main problem is the parking. The garage is an absolute nightmare and will ruin your holiday as scratches are inevitable from the extremely narrow and steep ramp.

This is the second time I’ve be stayed there. Both times the check-in staff have not been particularly pleasant. The property itself is nice as are the rooms. You can tell it has been updated and done nicely. Please work with you check-in staff.

This was my first trip to Hawaii and I enjoyed my stay at the Waikiki Malia. My room was clean and had all of the amenities I needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance of many shopping, dining options and the beach. Transportation was also convenient as you can catch the #20 bus for $3 from the airport and it drops you off in front of the hotel. The pink Waikiki Trolley is available for a tour of the area. I hope my review is helpful for those considering a trip as I highly recommend this property.

The staff was very nice and the property was clean. The pillows were horrible and the part we disliked the most was parking, we thought it was free but it was not and the driveways were so narrow only one car can get by at a time ,barely, which made us stuck with another car to where they had to back all the way out for us to go forward. They should do valet only, especially since they charge for it. Also there was an additional services fee of $30 that was not already covered through Expedia, that took us off guard.

Aloha. Thank you for your comment. Our parking charge is 35 night for in and out for 24 hours. Our parking lot has an attendant that monitors the parking entrance to assist with any situations that may arise. The Amenity fee which is 30 is part of the Expedia booking. There should be no other charges other than that. Thank you.

Also, the Elevator for the parking structure will let you off on the 3rd floor and you simply would walk to the door fronting the elevator to go to your room in the Luana Tower. The property is right in the middle of everything. Shops, restaurant's, beach and the Waikiki Strip and trolly stop. Staff are nuce, friendly and very accommodating. Housekeeping in great and respectful. If there are personal things on your bed, they will leave a card informing you the reason they didn't make it😄 Rooms are pretty big and spacious, although the balcony is pretty small which was ok for us. Pool is a small lap size pool, but jacuzzi is pretty nice. Definitely recommend this place ans will return soon

Staff was great View was great. Room was ok. There was burn marks on the carpet the safe didn’t work and the shower was horrible. Water was spraying in every direction but down. The parking was super difficult to get in and out. But overall the location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I think with some upgrades this property could become an amazing place to comeback too.

Very old hotel, pictures I saw of the hotel were very misleading. Very noisy, could hear everything going on outside, could hear people talking through the walls, could hear every toilet flush. Good location, walkable to a lot of locations, staff very friendly and kind.

Check in was a really fast. Workers at front desk where very nice and answered all our questions. We were on the 16th floor city view, room was spacious and our house keeper was very friendly and did an amazing job keeping up with our room. Hotel is only 2 blocks from the beach and downtown Waikiki

Enjoyed staying here. I thought the location was great. We were walking distance to a McDonald’s, Ross, and Starbucks. Not right next to the beach but we did walk to it. Parking on site we didn’t have any problems. Rooms were clean, bathroom is small. Very friendly staff. Laundry is 4.25 a load. Make sure you upper dryer because it dries faster than lower. I would definitely stay here again.

During our recent 7 nights stay at Waikiki Malia, I found the accommodations to be a mixed experience. There were notable issues regarding cleanliness, particularly with the bath tub which appeared dirty all throughout our stay. Despite reporting the matter to the front desk for so many times, no action was taken to address the problem until our departure day. The majority of the staff members did not show the expected Hawaiian hospitality vibes especially the self-proclaimed manager on duty, a big Caucasian guy who showed a lack of friendliness and rudeness. As guests, we recommend improving cleanliness standards and fostering a warmer atmosphere among staff to better reflect the renowned hospitality of Hawaiian culture.
