A hotel with character. I had a fabulous room - spacious, comfortable,all the faciliies one needs, with a great view. The breakfast was superb.

The hotel is in a walking distance from the railway station. The area is good and convenient to go out to find a dinner. The pub in the hotel is nice as well. And, surprisingly, the hotel provide a free drink when aware that it was my birth month. Thank you very much!

Nice walkable area with plenty of dining options in area as well as next door. As an older hotel, it was heated with steam pipes unit, which was not user friendly to adjust temperature. Plus many people not familiar with this type of old heating system. But room was clean and enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The good: Very well located. Friendly & helpful staff. Clean rooms. Quiet surroundings. The bad: Very warm without much of a way to cool the room down. Shower was temperamental. Rather dated. Cramped room without many amenities. The verdict: 3 stars. I probably won’t stay here again, but I wouldn’t be firmly against it.

The ground floor rooms have weird windows at the top of the wall as you’re a bit below ground level. However rooms are large, clean and have great bathrooms. Other guests made a bit of noise the night we were there which was a shame.

The hotel was lovely and in a great Location. The room was spacious and was very clean & comfortable and the Lace Market was an excellent location. The room however was very hot and the air-con position being behind a curtain made it hard to cool down in the evening. We waited almost an hour for our breakfast, but they were busy and when it arrived it was good - but I wished we had gone to a local cafe instead. The staff were apologetic and friendly (but I still got charged!). I would stay again and would still recommend. Maybe they were just having an off day.

This is an individual hotel in a great area of Nottingham. The staff are super helpful and welcoming. Our room was comfortable although some of the furniture could do with updating and a number of the floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked. There is no car park but the Lace Market public car park is very close. There are many restaurants close to the hotel and so is convenient for going out in the evening. We liked this slightly quirky hotel and would recommend it.

The hotel was clean and the staff member polite however, the premises look like they could do with a little renovation as the place is looking tired and in need of a lick of paint.

Excellent hotel, would stay again
Lovely hotel in a really great location. On the same street as Nottingham Contemporary and the National Justice museum and round the corner from the City of Caves. A bar on site and excellent condition and decor. Only slight downside was a lack of temperature control in the room and it was on the warm side for me.

Go to in Nottingham
This is our go to hotel in Nottingham. It is a short walk from the Motorpoint Arena for events and surrounded by great bars and restaurants, including a (new) decent bar attached to the hotel. It is more boutique than mainstream, cosy rather than high tech, but is high spec in furnishment and feel. Climate control is missing but the rest is great. For us a much nicer stay than the corporate offerings in the other parts of the city.

Fantastic hotel
Fantastic hotel, has retained original features. We stayed in the Studio Suite and it was beautiful and well equipped. Good breakfast and location, well situated for the train station and city centre. Pleasant staff.
