Everything was ok apart from the lack of wifi or any mobile signal. If you need to use your phone or laptop you will not be able to. Mobile date signal is non-existent and the pubs wifi does not work at all

No Wi-Fi at all in the bedrooms, and the Wi-Fi in Bar is INCREDIBLY poor - we were unable to complete the work we needed to do during our stay and had to go to a nearby Coffee shop to work. Breakfast below average, no cereal, fruit or buffet etc just a below average cooked breakfast. Sadly, won't be returning.

Lovely friendly welcome. Helped to my room. Good pub with regular customers. Room enormous, bathroom spacious and good shower. Excellent custom breakfast in the morning. Recommended for visiting the area or an M1 stopover.

Although the property is very old and a bit tired in places it was clean and comfortable. The staff are friendy and helpful, the food was very good and Clffe the chef keeps a good eye on front of house making sure customers are happy. A very enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff. food good. The bedroom could have abetter layout with a smaller double bed to allow bed side tables and lamps. Biscuits left with the tea making facilities would be a bonus as would a larger tv. Bathroom was adequate. Restaurant ok with some nice menu options. Breakfast options quite limited compared with other B/Bs we've stayed in. Prefer a buffet style set up where you can choose what you want . The cooked breakfast was adequate though.

What a fabulous place to stay! It’s a 400 year old inn and the charming character of the place has been kept with cozy individual rooms in the downstairs part of the inn The bedroom we stayed in was spacious with en suite and a king size bed. We had one of the best night’s sleep we’ve had for a long one onthe super-comfy mattress . The staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. I thoroughly recommend this inn if ever you’re up this way.

Rooms could do with a bit of modernising and the annoying green light in the room at night was a bit ridiculous - but given the price point, excellent value for money. Decent cooked breakfast and coffee, generally clean rooms (a bit of mould but nothing crazy) and welcoming staff.

Where do I start. No remote for the TV but they knew about it and still gave me the room. Their solution? Turn on the TV using the buttons. Yeah all good but what about changing channels. Nowhere to hang clothes. The WiFi was a complete waste of time . Don't get me started on the breakfast. No menu but asked what I'd like. No apple juice for a pub? Will definitely give this a wide berth.

The staff weren't anticipating our arrival, however, this was swiftly sorted. The car park is well sign posted but a little tricky to navigate in the dark. Room 7 was a good sized room with a queen size bed, but there was only one bed side table, this was annoying as we were allowed to take drinks from the bar to the room and there wasn't an adequate place to put them without bothering your companion. The tiny TV had no remote and the cups for the teas and coffee were absolutely revolting, also the kettle wasn't in the best of conditions. The shower was tepid and the water in the basin was scolding. There were patches of black mould around the bath. Other than that the bathroom was relatively clean. The tiny sachets of shower gel weren't practical as once wet they were difficult to open. On getting into bed the white linen was clean and fresh, the scatter cushions in contrast were dirty and had what could only be described as make-up, foundation I am guessing, smudged on them. Once the lights were off, the room was bathed in green light making it very difficult to sleep. I think I saw every hour of the night. The plus point being the bed was kind of comfortable and the sheets were clean. There was a strong smell of bleach on arrival to the dining room in the morning, so i guess the toilets are clean. The service at breakfast was confusing. We were told on arrival we could come down and help ourselves. However, there was nothing to help yourselves to accept a table.

Two night stay, visiting family. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and offered pack up for journey home, but we didn’t need one. Very comfy bed, nice and quiet.

Warm welcome, allowed to check-in early which was what we needed. Room was warm, beds were comfortable and breakfast (included in the price) was lovely. A very hospitable place, which I would recommend to friends and would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient for my daughter and I visiting family nearby. Car park was secure and in an area with limited parking, invaluable. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and warm. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We were booked in for 2 nights but only stayed 1. No reflection on property but had to return home for business reasons. Would stay again.

Lovely pub B&B
Perfect for an overnight. Straightforward pub B&B, exacltly whst we wanted. Clean & friendly, lovey brekky included. We got there late coz of delays when kitchen had closed. Landlord took pity nad made us some ham cobs, went down well with a beer. Would recommend.
