Sheets on first night was dirty had blood stain on it, but over all good hotel food was very expensive but was nice, all staff were very helpful and efficient

Plesantly surprised.
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel ! We were warmly greeted, the room was easy to find and was clean and very presentable. I know I got a good nights sleep and the shower room was well equipped. Nice to see an iron and ironing board, as well as a hairdryer. I will be staying here again. The staff were very well turned out , polite and informative.

Hotel is a great price. Handy for Nottingham Uni about 15 mins away. Hotel is a little tired in places. Our room window wouldn’t close for example

My wife and I had a 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn , Nottingham Derby border. Ideally suited for access to the M1 motorway . The room was clean comfortable and perfectly adequate for a short stay. The food selection for both evening meals and Breakfast were extremely good and the staff very efficient in dealing with dietry requirements.

Upon arrival the reception was unattended for about 15 minutes. All the bar staff could say was “oh well someone should be back soon” when she did appear the receptionist had been making up sofa beds in the guest bedrooms. The restaurant experience was dreadful. Clearly short staffed nearly every table around us had to complain about something wrong or missing from their meals. The two staff on hand seemed very stressed. Took an hour to get our food which then came out cold. Extremely small portions too. Didn’t dare try to order dessert for fear of how long that would take. And it was extortionately priced. Very unimpressed as have stayed in Holiday Inns before with much better service. Breakfast was “ok” however the sausages were barely cooked and came out very pale. There was a lack of fried eggs and not a very large selection of continental items. The toaster machine was set too low so ur bread came out barely crisp. Just a very disappointing lack of attentiveness to the quality being given all round tbh.

Not the best by miles
I stayed in a lot of holiday Inns, but unfortunately this was the worst. The moment we arrived. There were many people outside smoking which gave a really bad first impression. Check was quick as we walked to our room we walked past piles of dishes outside rooms, rubbish bags, and the smell was just horrible. Went into the room and immediately noticed where somebody had spilt a drink against the wall And the room smelt horrible. Overall, it was very comfortable, but you couldn’t get over the smell and had to sleep with the window open.
