I was looking forward to this stay as a few of my friends had raved about it. I was a little dissapointed tbh, very dificult to speak to anyone at the hotel as everything is handled through a central booking team & they didn't seem very knowledgeable about the hotel.
Any email correcspondence it done through the Hotels.com messaging system which is a 'no reply' so any follow up needed was pretty much impossible.
The hotel itself is lovely, lots of very nice period features, especially the bar areas with lovely features including chandeliers etc. except for the dining room which I have to say resembled a works canteen & had very little atmosphere (they didn't even have music playing in the background) & although the food was excellent, it took far too long to arrive (I think they had too few staff for the number of guests eating). The staff were very friendly & apologetic for the delays & couldn't do enough for you.
Overall, a nice stay just not as wonderful as I was expecting
