“Lovely, clean rooms and great location”

We stayed here for one week in July 2012 and were really pleased with our stay. The location was perfect- situated directly opposite the sea and next door to the Opera. The flower market was a minute walk away and was lovely at night as there were lots of restaurants and a great atmosphere. The hotel was lovely and clean with air conditioning. The staff were really friendly and provided us with information about transport and tours. A private beach is directly opposite the hotel. It was 13 euros per day which allowed you to have a sun lounger for the full day and an extra 3 euros to hire a beach towel. The only negatives I can think of are that there wasn't a lift however the hotel does only have two floors but I believe there are also mezzanine rooms. There are also steps leading up to the hotel so I think if you had any mobility issues it maybe wouldn't be the best. There is a bar in the hotel but it is very small but there are plenty of nice restaurans and bars in the flower market to choose from. All in all we had great stay and I would definitely return when I am next in Nice.

“Great location for the sea”

Great location, very friendly staff. Room was a little strange as we were in what appeared to be the attic, but clean and tidy as Mercure always are. Have now stayed in all the Mercures in Nice and recommend all of them.

“Great little hotel with good location”

The hotel is located opposite the beach and close to the popular Vielle Ville where there are loads of little shops and restaurants and nearby to the tram stop. When we arrived we were allowed to choose our room and ours was really quirky with the bed up a little staircase with a balcony. The staff were really friendly and there is a useful booklet of information at reception. The room was clean and comfy. The only issue was a lack of cupboard and drawer space for putting clothes.

“Great little hotel”

I've been going to Nice regularly for the last six years but had never stayed at this hotel. Whilst it won't win any design awards the rooms are comfortable; clean and nicely furnished. The real stars are the staff who could not have been more helpful: they gave us directions; provided a map, made restaurant recommendations - nothing was too much trouble! The location is fantastic: right on the seafront and moments from the nightlife of the Old Town. Plus it was good value - I'll be coming here again!

“Great location for weekend break”

Excellent location overlooking the promenade. Staff very friendly and answered any queries with pleasant manner. I had read reviews regarding a mezzanine type arrangement for some rooms but specifically asked for a room without this to suit my mother who has poor mobility. This request was sorted prior to our arrival and the room was very accessible on the same floor as reception. Would be very happy to stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to friends. Be brave and take the bus from the airport 4 euro per person and stop v close to hotel. Taxi expensive nearly 40 euros.

“Oksana”

Lovely hotel in a good location. Small room but more than enough for a single traveler. The only thing is I had nowhere to dry my beach towel and bikini. Had to put them on balcony floor.

“Great hotel for families and older people.”

The location was perfect, for the beach, the old town and reaching all parts of Nice, including the train station and buses. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

“Great choice !”

Wonderful staff, cozy rooms, and most importantly, fantastic location!! Right across the beach, near the cycle racks, next to the flower market (which changes every day) and right in the heart of the city. Can walk to the bus station, and 5 mins monorail to Nice Ville, the main train station. Cannot go wrong choosing this hotel !
