It is a hotel that has seen better days, it clearly hasn't been renovated in decades (there is visible cracked plaster and similar throughout the halls, and the carpets, drapes, etc. are quite old). But the hotel was clean, everything worked, so I don't have any real complaints. It was relatively inexpensive too. I would not stay here for a romantic getaway, and I think I would pick something a little more central or closer to water next time -- but if you're just looking for a place to sleep comfortably enough that is clean, and you don't mind the rough edges, I think it's totally fine. That said, I don't think the existing reviews clearly conveyed just how old it is -- so just go in with your eyes open.
