I chose it specifically for its proximity to the Naval Station in Newport, less than a five minute drive away. If possible, I would have preferred that the breakfast buffet include creamed beef on biscuits (a military menu favorite). Also, the tiny fridge in my room didn't work. The reception desk personnel were excellent; courteous, polite and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to choose Marriot again.

Room overlooked atrium which is nice. Clean and nice looking property. Staff helpful. Pillows were too hard. My 8 year old grandson said the same thing about the pillows. Disappointed that the Mainsail dining room was not open for dinner. Most hotels I’ve stayed in have information in the room as to what amenities are available, I.e. restaurants, bars, and their hours. There was no info in our room. Check-in and check-out quick and easy.

location is quite good. The hotel tries to be modern and hip, but is kind of an architectural holdge podge. Restaurant understaffed; folks at front desk also seemed stressed and not super friendly.

LIked almost everything, including water view room and king bed. Breakfasts were very good. Baked items at the Skiff Bar were also excellent. Only didn't like was area by pool much too warm and humid so didn't bother getting out my bathing suit.

The price of the room was too expensive. I would have been happier at half that price. I was surprised I had to buy coffee cups to get morning coffee. Never going there again.
