The absolute worst experience to date.
My call was 2 minutes shy of 4 hours. Four HOURS. My perception is that Abby and Christina literally wasted my time on the phone in the hopes I would hang up instead of help me after the hotel I booked on line called me to cancel my booking because they were “busy”. I could come in person to book the room I previously booked with Expedia and pay an extra $500. I was driving for 3 /4 hours on the phone. I missed our ferry to Staten Island for sunset experience because I was on the phone with Christina. While driving Christina asked me to look up hotels to book instead of looking herself as I was driving. I found two and she said no then she said she found the Howard Johnson. Then she said my visa debit credit card and my friends Mastercard wouldn’t work. It was false. I know for sure she wanted me to hang up as she put us on hold for EXTRAordinary amount of time. She said she charged the company’s credit card to process the booking and after my call ended I was billed. She literally wasted hours of my time so that she wouldn’t process my booking as I secured my reservation at $202 Canadian and she couldn’t find any hotels at that prices and wanted me to look for hotels on my drive to NYC. I haven’t slept and am still stressed about the almost 4 hour phone call with Expedia. I have screen shots of the time on the phone with Christina and Abby and have a tape recording of the phone call with the hotel who tried to scam me

What a dump. A night i very much want to forget forever. Ive stayed in some sketchy motels ... this one takes the cake. From a bad attitude from the guy who checked me in to a crappy SMOKING room that i then had to get moved out of ... just bad on every level.

Good price. Facility was renovated well since i last stayed here. Id definitely suggest this location to anyone

This hotel is dirty no place to hang jackets/clothes, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom floor.

Only reason we stayed here is because our flights got cancelled and we were stranded in Jersey. This hotel is reflective of the whole town. Dirty, unappealing, rundown, unsafe (at least it felt that way), and expensive. At least the staff was friendly.
This place needs a lot of renovations. The outside of the building is really bad. The beds were nice and comfortable. But the bathroom not clean enough.
Worst than anything. Bed sheets had cigaret holes in it, shower curtain was ripped, moldy, my husband went to sit at the chair by the desk and literally fell backwards, chair broken, not worth the price. Never again. Room #105. Fix your rooms!!!!!

My room was in poor condition, the lamp shade was stained and discolored with knife stab marks all around the shade. There was a gap under the entry door which allowed for ants, bugs and mosquitoes which by the morning time I was covered in bites and welts from god knows what, which I have photographed. I have stayed at this location before with minimal issues. This was the first time I was put in a different room and was just completely unacceptable. Before I could checkout I was being called repeatedly while I was working on calls being disturbed for no reason as the caller hung up every time. I’m furious and covered in bug bites. I take care of my skin and hygiene so this is completely unacceptable.
Never in my life have I had to leave a hotel before my scheduled stay ended until staying here. Grimy sticky stained brown carpets. We never took our shoes off. Mould around the bathtub. The final straw was seeing a cockroach walk across our bed. We took photographs of everything and sent it to Expedia, who helped us get a refund and gave us complimentary rewards points. Save yourself the horror and book next door at the Quality Suites. That's where we stayed for the remainder of our trip.

The people at the front desk were terrific. However, the bathroom in our room left much to be desired. The caulking around the bathtub had lots of black spots. It is in a very worn out condition. The bedroom was very crowded as well. However, the beds were very comfortable.
Everything great but elevator was tore up and had us on 3rd floor and didnt see a full lot of guest and told had handicap and had difficulty getting to room all the way at end so stairs and then whole walk to end.
