Our first impression when checking in at Nairobi Transit was the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and, in particular, Kevin at Reception. We stayed overnight before our flight to Dubai and found that Nairobi Transit is an attractive option if you are looking for a place to dine in-house and stay the night. The room was spacious, opening out to a balcony on the market side, and clean. Beds are firm and comfortable, and that is our preference, but maybe too firm for others. We requested a mosquito net and one was provided promptly. The location is within easy walking distance to the city centre and we found the surrounding markets fascinating as we have a keen interest in the local produce and shopping habits. Our breakfast consisted of juice, fresh fruit, tea and coffee, toast , and a pick of two other breakfast items. While this was sufficient for us, it may be a bit on the light side for others. Our ride to JKIA took about 40mins in early afternoon traffic, but for anyone who has experienced Nairobi traffic, the travel time to and from JKIA can vary from 45 mins to an hour and a half, if staying at the N Transit. All in all, we found it a very pleasant experience staying at Nairobi Transit, and would certainly stay there again.
