Slightly down-at-heel hotel in need of upgraded doors and floors but very clean with good quality bedding, peaceful and well-located. (It's very easy to get around the city from here on public transport, there are good supermarkets nearby, as well as restaurants and cafes). The buffet breakfast was varied, reasonable and pleasant (if not top quality) and the breakfast staff and cleaners were very nice.

The breakfast is great at Hotel Dieci. The location is also great because it is only steps away from the bus station.

Very nice hotel in Milan
Very nice hotel in Milan, well located 5 minutes walk from the Politecnico University and 10 minutes walk from PIOLA metro station. Room was very comfortable and quiet with excellent WiFi signal. Very good breakfast with a lot of choices. Staff very professional and kind. Highly recommended

A very nice hotel closed to Città Studi in Milan
Very nice hotel few minutes walk from Politecnico di Milano University. Room was very clean and quiet. Wifi worked very well. The breakfast was abuntant with a lot of choices. Staff very professioal and polite. Highly recommended.

Haven't seen the double rooms but the single room is as big as a closet. If you suffer from claustrophobia stay away. Good location if you need to be near that part of the university. 30 minute walk to train station, about the same to city center. Good for parking available on street and free of charge which is unheard of in milan so big advantage there. Breakfast good by Italian standards good variety. Lobby non-existent, everything pretty small. Price compared to other 4 star hotel is almost a third. I paid 600 euro for 5 nights. 4 stars near station and in city center ranged from 1500 to 2250.

Nice hotel, easy to find
Primary reason for visit was business which is why I chose this hotel but I stayed extra days with my partner to see Milan. The hotel was easy to find, only a 10 to 15 minute walk from Piola Metro station on the green (M2) line. Our room was very clean and because we were at the back, quiet. Our room had a small terrace to sit outside on but unfortunately it was closed in around the sides so there was little natural light in the room. To the front is a main road so I expect front rooms may be noisy with the windows open. The only other negative was no kettle! Unusual these days. The hotel is in an old building near the centre of the city so the rooms are a little smaller than you might be expecting. Breakfast was typical continental fare with plenty of choice, both hot and cold as well as sweet, plus a good fresh fruit salad selection. Be aware that the reception is below street level accessed by stairs so you will have to carry your luggage down. At least I couldn't see a lift there, although there is one of course to access the room floors. Over all I was happy with the hotel but be aware there is a €5 city tax, per person per night, to be paid on departure. This was more expensive than I was expecting. Of course I cannot blame the hotel for that.

Great Breakfast!
We have now stayed here on two occasions and have had a wonderful stay both times! Great location, close to the train station! very clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast! will definitely come back on our next visit to Milano!!!!

Great hotel for Business on the east side
Close to many important transit hubs although a little to far from the subway (20 min walk - but there are taxis and buses right out front). Reviews are correct that Internet connection is very slow for those used to modern speeds. And if you are roaming from a US provider, don't expect your cell data service to pick up the slack. Everything else is really great: comfortable, decent breakfast, clear, nice staff, good price.

A great space to stay. Would surely consider going back here. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from a metro making it quite convenient.

Great Stay!
Wonderful Staff, great breakfast, near major attractions and shopping. Unfortunately, the free parking is self parking, if you can find a space near the hotel.

This is a good hotel in the neighborhood of Milano Polytechnica, which was convenient for us, but not for sightseeing. Breakfast was merely OK (under-cooked hardboiled eggs -- could have used another egg option) and there's a flight of stairs down to reception. It's about a 10 minute walk to the metro.

Peaceful and Homely Hotel in Milan
Arriving at Hotel Dieci I was greeted with absolute courtesy and respect. Hotel resembles a traditional family hotel and this set the scene for my week long stay. My room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast room is open from 7am to 10am and is well presented with a very large selection of fresh quality foods. Each room has its own air conditioning unit which you can control and the free wi-fi has excellent signal.

Why does this hotel have 4 stars?????
I had to stay here for a few nights alone and then with someone. The first nights was in the smallest room I ever seen. But still, I had a balcony to the back. The tv had no international news coverage. All American/English media is dubbed into Italian. Late when I got company I had to move to another room witch had a faulty AC unit.(made a terribe noise, had me awake the whole night) Tried to talk to the staff on hand, but he did not care. And when I checked out I tried to get some money back, and all I got was "We are so sorry, I should be fixed today". Like that was going to help me. Some of the staff members seemed a little snotty for my likings. The breakfast was okay, but dont expect anything continental here. The eggs was cooked rock solid.

I was staying in Milan for a night before my flight back. It is an expensive city so I was pleasantly surprised I could find this hotel as the Expo was on at the time. It was slightly expensive, but like I say, Milan is an expensive place, so about 110 euro a night is about the going rate. The chap at the front desk was especially helpful.

Nice Quirky hotel
Overall really liked the hotel. Location is good with a 10-15 min walk from the metro Piola station.nearby eateries. Inc buffet Breakfast was nicely stocked but didn't have any baked beans (needed something with sauce for my eggs and toast). Can't believe they didn't have an Iron, only laundry service (next day) which is no good for ironing my shirt on the day,BYOI. No kettle/tea in room but u can get drinks from reception. WiFi slow but usable.

Great last minute booking
for $100 US, it was by far one of the best locations I've stayed in italy. negatives - The front desk guy was a little snooty and the location kind of sucks because it's about a 2.5 mile walk to the main areas of Milan, but positives - the breakfast was great (that guy was super friendly and deserves a raise), my room was clean, the internet worked very well, and it was priced very competitively. You can spend way to much money to stay in the middle of the fashion district or you can save some dollars by coming out to this area and taking the metro. an all day metro pass was 4.5 euros, so that was my tradeoff choice and i was happy with it. but i really enjoyed my stay here and would choose it again.

Good hotel for business & holidays
I knew about this hotel through a colleague in Milan, who had guests there before. It turned out that the rate for the room was better via Expedia than via the hotel's own web site. The hotel is located in central Milan. It is nice and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was good, with the bed, a desk (partly taken up by the TV) and a single chair, and a wardrobe. The bathroom (shower) was modern and clean. Altogether, I the room was practical but rather small (I had a "superior" room, so I wonder what a "normal" room would have been like -- no desk?). There is wired LAN access in the rooms (the reception has Ethernet cables) and there is a lounge with free wireless access. There is also public space for working. Overall, I think this is a good hotel for those on business or on holiday.

A pleasant experience.
A unique experience: a very friendly staff, enjoyable experience, good breakfast in an elegant and relaxing environment. The rooms are small but if you choose the double" room there is more space; all is very clean and, more importantly,very quiet. I am glad I know now where to stay when I go to Milan.
