"Condition of my room was fair , wallpaper that looked like it had been painted over was peeling , Fan in room did not work and picture missing off wall but hooks left in it. Bathroom looked refurbished and nice, staff were nice. Unable to order room service as no one answered the phone , spa did not call me to make an apt. And I was unable to eat in the restaurant on both occasions I tried so I ate in the bar. "

Was told they would do what they could with no promises. We arrived at 11.45 and the receptionist tried everything to sort. "Noise from within the hotel during the night. Thin walls? When the fire alarm sounded in the night, guests gathered at the front of the hotel. It was quite some time before any staff appeared to offer guidance and explanations. The 'Deluxe Queen Room' on arrival was nothing like the picture when booked. The lack of a shower was strange: the bath mixer taps were extremely temperamental."

"My partner and i stayed here for bank holiday weekend. Where i did a surprise proposal to her, the staff were a great help in setting this up for me and recording it. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpfull. We also ate breakfast twice and dinner here once. Food was great all very tasty and reasonably priced."
