"Delightful resort surrounded by tropical jungle. The high elevation meant you could open the windows and just let the cool evening breezes carry the sounds of nature. The rooms were huge and service was excellent. The fixtures were dated however, but that's my only criticism."

"The room was clean and well appointed, nice shower and bed, so no complaints there. We had hoped that the balcony would be a place to sit and relax in the morning, but the small chair and table barely fit in the narrow space and the balcony wall too high to see over when seated. The “Mountain View” is literally a view to the top of one mountain, otherwise you look over grass to a few banana trees blocking the view. "Quiet location, beautiful grounds with walkways, fish pond, gardens, and pineapple plantation. Good for a get away from the city. Obviously was the place to be about 20 years. Now it has very few guests and has seen better days in terms of facilites (restaurant was closed, no boat on the pond, no bicycles for guests, etc). We stayed three nights and only on one night was one other room occupied. But very relaxing compared with staying in Mae Sai or Chang Sien. You need a car to stay here."

Great hotel to stay in Chiang Rai
"We stayed in the hotel for a few nights and we were really impressed. The beds were really comfortable and the room was of a good size. The interior of the hotel, especially the lounge, is simply stunning. We loved the breakfast, especially the egg station where a lovely cook made really tasty omelettes and scrambled eggs. The hot chocolate was a really nice touch. There is a selection of bread and fruit and some Asian dishes. Most of the clientele isn't into Western breakfast but we still had everything we needed, perhaps some cheese would have made it ideal. The location was good. We never had a problem ordering a taxi to the hotel, we also rented a scooter so it was easy to get around as the hotel offers parking. The hotel has quite a large swimming pool which was a great addition. Overall a fantastic stay and would absolutely stay in this hotel again if we even come back to Chiang Rai."
