Too hot with no air con available
The hotel does not have air conditioning throughout, so in the middle of August it was very warm and the room was too hot to be comfortable in. The staff offered a fan which didn’t help, and then switched our room (an upgrade even) which also didn’t help, but at least the room was better. Cleanliness was relatively poor with many hairs found on sheets and the bathroom floor which was surprising. Also a 25 euro charge per night to have your dog stay is extortionate. The staff remained friendly and did their best to help and accommodate, but a 4* hotel should really have air conditioning throughout to make it comfortable in the midst of a heatwave.

Our hotel was built on an HEQ (High Environmental Quality) concept based on specifications from the city of Lyon about 10 years ago. We could not install a real AC system but only a double flow ventilation system which is not well performing when it is so hot outside. We have taken the decision to totally renovate our air conditioning system and we are delighted to announce the installation of air conditioning throughout the building by the end of May 2024.We understand your dissatisfaction and apology again for this experience.As for the pet fee, we ask for 25 per stay and not per night as we need more time to clean the room where there was a pet (knowing that some guests are allergic we really care about the carpet).We hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you again in the future for a much better experience.Sincerely,

The hotel isn’t close to anything so it is a challenge to find food, etc. the check in they want you to prepay 400 euros which was not previously noted.

You are of course, free to choose NOT to eat at the hotel. It's year 2023, you could have easily order your food through UBER EATS & have it delivered so, we're not sure what you mean. As for the 400, this is a guarantee in the form of preauthorization corresponding to your total stay plus a 100 extra / night. It works the same way as for car rental. At the end of your stay, you can deduct your bill from the amount held or take the option to settle your bill in cash or by another means of payment accepted at the hotel. For your information, this is a standard of procedures for most major hotel chains.We are sorry that you were not aware of this. Please know that the hotel has a 24/7 phone service and you are welcome to call anytime for all inquiry.Thank again for your patronage.

This is an American brand hotel, and I love it. For medium budget for family of 5, still gave us best. Breakfast was fantastic. Clean, friendly staffs, safe easy parking.

Leaking water
Check in and staff were great. Always love staying at Doubletree...however, not impressed with the water leaking from the ceiling. Carpet was soaked and my allergies overnight were horrible. I can't imagine mold under carpets. We had mosquitoes (probably due to moisture) and drops were loud and annoying during the night. No managment, therefore staff couldn't do anything. A plan needs to be in place when management is not there. Not fair for front desk as they cannot do anything for customers. There should be some kind of compensation for customers when you are paying so much money.

Perfect if your travelling on business for the local industrial area. Would not recommend for lyon as a taxi is 30mins drive or tram is 1hr to city centre

The staff were all excellent. Very polite and helpful. Jeremy on reception was fantastic and made the children feel very welcome. After 9 hours of driving we were all very tired - he made it a delight to finally get to the hotel.

The hotel is located way outside the main town in an industrial area. All access areas of the hotel are gated and have locked iron grills. The reception has a faux grass sofa set and blown up animals decor. The room’s AC did not work and when reported, we were told that it is a slow unit which takes time to be effective - they provided a small table fan as a supplement.

Quiet hotel on beautiful site with lake and vegetable garden. The Modern style and furnishings are cheerful and relaxed. The staff is friendly and the beds comfortable. Free covered and gate-protected parking is provided. Only problem is that the hotel is gated with no instructions on how to open gate so I ended up parking on the street before checking in. Turns out one is supposed to use intercom to ask clerk to open gate.

Nice hotel on outskirts of Lyon
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. We had two evening meals (menu was a bit limited with a fish allergy!). I had the same meal twice - nice, but nowhere near as good on the Sunday when the main chef was off! About 45 min to get into the centre of town by tram, replacement bus and metro. Bit tricky on the way back as we couldn't find the bus stop for the replacement bus (not easy when your French isn't fluent!)
