"The facilty smelled nice and was clean. The room was clean and well stocked with quality travel-sized products. The pillows and bed were comfortable and the temperature was well-regulated throughout the facilty. I have stayed at more expensive places that were not as well-kept and have also (recently) stayed at places with MORE stars that were no where near as nice. Perfect stay before your flight out of town. "

Kendra at front desk went over and above to help me out during my stay, appreciate her efforts. nice gym, but the pool is out back, outdoors, kind of isolated, truck lot out back plus unhoused encampment about a quarter mile away, i wouldn’t leave a child unsupervised out there. make sure and ask for a room away from the highway, much quieter than freeway side. "They went out of their way to help when stranded by weather/airline. The room was recently updated and the location was ideal for Love Field. There is still construction going on in Lobby but did not affect us at all. The front desk staff answered the phone when we called and went out of her way to make our check in process work when the online reservation was screwed up. We have used this property many times in the past and I am glad it is finally being upgraded. "

"This was an escape from the chain hotel operations that are everywhere. It also isn't a huge corporate hotel. The Melrose is an intimate, almost old-world hotel with a great bar, close-in to downtown Dallas. It wasn't cheap, but it was reasonable, considering the classy operation it is. "
