“Great Location”

This is simply a no frills hotel in a great location. Located yards from the seafront and near to the pier. You can also take advantage of plenty of good food locations nearby. The hotel was comfortable and clean.

“Excellent sea view location”

Hotel could do with a bit of TLC, but the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly and helpful, and the location is just great - handy for Santa Monica pier, the beach and all the restaurants/shops nearby. The fish and chips at Ye Old Kings Head are legendary, and justly so !!

“Great Location”

We chose this hotel purely on location and it didn't let us down. The hotel overlooks the beach and is a few minutes walk from a large promenade of shops. The hotel is pretty basic, but as a location to explore LA from, it was fine.

“Would stay again”

Location - Good, can see the Santa Monica Pier from Hotel. Staff - The staff were friendly and nice. Room - Room was bog-standard, no goodies but good if your just looking for somewhere to crash. Price - I found this place slightly expensive for what we got. Visit again? - Yes I would as the location of the hotel is good.

“Ocean view Santa Monica”

Bit of a let down after staying in the Handelry San fransisco and best western then Hilton. Over priced for class of hotel compared to others visited this at same price. Was no fridge and housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Complained and was moved to another room. Staff did try to rectify problem as soon as possible.

“Good location”

The hotel is in a great position on the promenade very close to the pier and within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. We had a room around the back overlooking the car park (not an ocean view!), but the room was quiet, which was good. The rooms are in need of a refurb and they are not as nice as the pictures suggest. There is also a $20 charge for parking. The reception staff gave us a discount voucher for a nearby diner - that was superb for breakfast.

“good location”

Excellent location, but little amenities at the hotel. The rooms are little more than motel type rooms once you get beyond the reception area. Most of the staff are excellent,did have an issue with a security guard who was rather rude and over zealous. The Manger, Mike was very good dealing with a complaint regarding this security guard.

“Dissapointed with room”

The Hotels best asset is its position overlooking the Ocean and close proximity to the shops and restaurants. The decor and bedding etc is very dull, and really needs to be upgraded. It made me feel dull and cold. The staff were great and did all that was requested of them. The entrance/reception area is the best looking area.I will not stay there again as I like my rooms to be bright and light and relaxing.This one was not.
