Very nice little hotel with all new rooms (furnishings, brand new bath). And Lilliam at the front desk was so friendly, helpful, and patient. Loved her!

Great location. Clean room. Safe and walkable area, close to a grocery store, dining options around the neighborhood, transportation access to tube or bus. My plane departure from (LHR- Heathrow) and by tube you get directly to the airport saving time and money. Wonderful

I had a great stay at the Star Hotel. My room was very clean and had everything that I needed. My room was at the back so was quite quiet. The location is very convenient and a short walk to a few different tube stations and many bus stops. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a great stay.

This is a charming, old building that's been converted to a hotel, with rooms of various sizes and shapes. Do be aware there's no elevator so you'll probably have to climb stairs, and the shower in our room was REALLY small. Other than that, it was great. About a 10 minute walk to the Hammersmith Underground station.

Great find, extremely clean and a lovely welcome. I stayed in room 33 to the top front of the building, so the road noise was a little loud. However the place was spotless, comfortable and for the money I was extremely happy. I would stay again, but if ask for a different room.

Friendly staff and clean property- but at night even a small talk at a very low voice can be heard - they should put a sign that everyone exercise caution after 10:00 pm otherwise you wont be able to sleep!

Good for a short stay - stayed for a day. There’s a big tesco only a few mins walk away. The walk to Hammersmith station is less than 10 mins.

Not bad if you jus need somewhere to just sleep
Room was perfectly clean, very friendly staff, tv worked but shower had no hot water and the sink wasn’t big enough to get the kettle under so had to use a cup to fill it up , a little cramped so the only thing to do in the room is sleep as there’s not much space for anything else , but that’s not a problem for everyone

I had booked this on the basis of the good reviews, as I wanted a budget hotel in London for an overnight during a work trip. I was arriving around 10pm and would be leaving around 8am the following morning so just wanted a safe, quiet place to put my head down. My expectations were low but I actually had to leave the property shortly after arriving and pay for a much more expensive hotel nearby. I was handed a key to the room connected to the reception desk at the entry to the property. It had the signs PRIVATE and NO ADMITTANCE on the door, as quite clearly it was a staff room for reception staff. When I queried why I was not being given an actual hotel room, I was told that I "should have requested that when I booked online." I asked why I needed to request a proper hotel room when booking a hotel room! The woman on reception was incredibly rude and unhelpful, refused to let me speak to the manager (although she called and spoke to him but not in English so I could not understand the conversation). She repeatedly said I could leave. After being continually prompted to go look at the room I did. I could hear every sound in reception as there was a paper thin wall between the room and reception. It was sandwiched between reception, the front door to the property and the street with no noise insulation against any of those areas. There was also an unpleasant sewer like smell. I went back out to hand my key in and the receptionist said "oh good, you're leaving!"

Good location between Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush, easy walk to both, including transport links and Westfield shopping centre. Staff were all friendly and pleasant. We had a very small double room right on the top floor, the last set of stairs are very steep and narrow, it was however very clean, perfectly functional with a small wardrobe, dressing table, chair and tv. The bathroom is tiny, but again clean and everything in good working order, nice hot powerful shower. Its a shame that there was no breakfast option available. There are however some nice places locally that do a lovely breakfast.

The best of the budget hotels in Hammersmith
I've stayed in a few of the hotels on that road and this is the best of the bunch, the key being it's clean, they also cleaned, made the bed and replaced towels each day. It's not glamorous, cheap and cheerful but bed was comfy, en suite decent, staff on site and helpful. For the price it's decent

As someone who is very particular about a clean environment, I was very happy with how clean everything was at Star Hotel. The staff were very helpful in assisting me with bringing my luggage down multiple flights of stairs when I checked out, and also helped me out when I accidentally locked myself out of my room.

Positives:- Hotel was clean and area quiet and safe, places to eat nearby Room was well decorated and newly refurbished bathroom Negatives:- No receptionist - needed to ring a bell to get in the door and it was raining Disappointed that there were no breakfast facilities (I knew I hadn't booked breakfast but assumed you could buy on the day) The hot water took ages to get hot and then was just a dribble - showering took ages. Single bed was tiny!

The hotel and staff were amazing. They were helpful when asking about how to get around and find local dining and activities. This is a cute boutique hotel and it was perfect for what we needed. It was the perfect end to our European adventure and we were able to relax and enjoy some down time. Everything we needed was within walking distance and the underground is very convenient. Definitely would stay again.

The property was very clean and the staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and even though my room was right next to the street, the windows keep out almost all the noise. The TV is very small and old and there was no shelf in the shower to put soap and shampoo. Those are my only real complaints. It was worth the money, but there isn’t anything extra. Also, they should really take the B&B signs down if they don’t do breakfast anymore.
