Both my wife and I were extremely pleased with Kampas, operations Manager and Sashi, front counter concierge, warm welcome. They both went out of their way to assist new travellers find their way in the city. Both gentlemen were extremely courteous and so welcoming. We enjoyed returning every afternoon over the two weeks to share our travels and ask for knowledge for other day trips. These two men made our trip an amazing adventure. I’d come back to this hotel in a heartbeat, if for nothing else than to just to catch up with these two.

Poor value for money!
The lift was broken and we have to walk up four floors to get to our room. The room and the ensuite were very small. The free breakfast was only continental and the pastries were dry! The only good thing, it was clean!

Never hurry a curry
This one is a keeper. Particularly next door to Gloucester Rd tube (Piccadilly, Circle, Direct). Very well appointed outside and in. There was a family feel to the hotel. Staff very friendly. Ground floor reception, pleasant bar and restaurant which in its own right is the Light of India Indian restaurant. And the breakfast was great. Room was more than adequate great nights sleep. Well positioned for museums, Royal Albert Hall, Knightsbridge. Great value for money. Will be back.

Rooms were incredibly dated and had a bad lingering smell. We spent 5 nights here and it was a major regret. We tried to spend as little time at the hotel as possible as the bathroom shower was covered in mold. All of the sealant around the base was moldy and in general the rooms felt unclean. Ripped curtains, old carpet and the bedding was well worn. From the outside the building looks great, but once inside, and especially the rooms it’s clear things haven’t been updated in a really long time. The only upside to this place is the location to the tube, made getting around really easy! I would highly suggest the neighborhood, but not this property. I’m surprised to see so many highly rated reviews.

Overnight stay for the Royal Albert Hall
The hotel has been refurbished since we stayed here last time and the reception, bar and restaurant were excellent. However the rooms are very tired. Our first room was obviously a single room with a double bed put in right next to a wall!! I complained and we were then given a large family room in the basement which was better but certainly not a room with a view!!! The silicone sealant around the bath needed redoing as black in parts. However, the icing on the cake was breakfast which was excellent and served by lovely staff.

What a dandy hotel room for three travelers. Comfy temperature. Excellent check-in. Great beds. We didn't get the t.v. or in-room phone to work, but had hot showers, good electrical plug-ins, an iron and blowdryer. Super location with handy underground and bus transport. It is gem.

Lovely place to stay close to tube's Hyde park. I expected something small and run down, because it's so inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area, so it's was a very pleasant surprise! I will definitely stay here again and recommend highly

The hotel staff were very nice, and accepted our late checkin. Our room and bathroom were clean and beds were comfortable. We appreciated having a hairdryer and kettle. We had a nice view of the street but very little street noise as we were on the 4th floor. Market and Gloucester Rd tube just down the block. We would stay here again.

Front office staff was very helpful throughout my stay, including safe storing of my suitcase for a couple hours after checking-out. A small elevator made it easy to access my clean, comfortable room. Shared bathroom nearby and very clean. Great, safe location, easy to walk around with accessible shops, restaurants. Delicious Indian restaurant with gluten-free options, right next door and accessible from the lobby. I would definitely stay here again.

Having been let down elsewhere we booked this hotel at the last minute. We got a ground floor room which completely met our requirements. If I was being picky there was no bath (not a problem for us) and the decor is a little dated. Otherwise the room was very quiet and clean. The air con worked perfectly. The check-in was quick and efficient and the staff were attentive and friendly. The Hotel is well situated in a very nice area with good transport links. We were very satisfied and the Hotel exceeded our expectations.

Located just 2 minutes from the Gloucester Road tube station, hedps of shopping options and 15 minutes on foot from Freddie Mercury's former home, it's a great location and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Can't rate higher.
