The hotel was as advertised. Shower facilities were excellent. Found the hotel staff was very unhelpful (with the exception of one woman working the desk who was excellent).

Room was small but comfortable and clean, the shower was very powerful. Location was great, easy access to restaurants and two tube stations. Being so close to Kensington Park was great for walks away from the hustle and bustle. The area felt very safe. Paid extra for breakfast which was good and the cooked elements were great quality.

Stayed here for five nights. The hotel is nice and in a great location, easy to walk to Queensway or Bayswater station and not too far from Paddington station. We checked in early and they had no issue with it, the only thing was that the only rooms available were in the lower level. We didn't mind, as we were not planning on being there other than at night to sleep. The construction did not seem to be an issue at all for us and was only visible on the outside. The lobby was nice and clean and the staff was nice as well. After the third night, we noticed there seemed to be a leak coming from the wall from under the sink, leaking some rust-colored water. We informed the front desk immediately and they told us they'd get it fixed while we were gone. When we got back at night it was still there (I do think they tried fixing it but it just didn't work) and they moved us to a new room. The new room was MUCH bigger and nicer but still seemed to be a standard double. It seemed to be in the newly renovated part of the hotel and was on a different floor, although still on the lower level. The first room was very very tiny so the new one was much more comfortable. Just know the images while booking aren't necessarily what the rooms look like. Altogether it was nice and for the price, it was definitely good enough. I would stay here again.

The staff are pleasant. Generally clean hotel and good breakfast. However. Bed was hard and could feel the wooden base. Could hear conversation in neighbouring room very clearly and people speaking in corridor at 4am could very clearly be heard. I did not sleep well. Pity really since as I say, liked the staff, breakfast and general cleanliness

This property has a mold and plumbing issue. The staff were kind to move me into a new room when my first one had mold on the head frame and the shower didn't drain. But the second room had mold in the shower and the water had no heat control and was only boiling hot. Both rooms were not maintained well. Was a very frustrating experience and health concern!

The internet picture is not the same as the hotel itself. Not sure if this due to the huge current refurbished the hotel is under. However we were at the correct place. We had a very nice room L07 . It was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was no window ( was warned) but AC was provided. This wasn’t an issue as we was only there to sleep anyway. Considering there was major refurbishment works happening the hotel made sure it caused very little disruption to it’s customers. The staff were pleasant, the breakfast was nice, plenty choice, bedroom cleaned and fresh towel’s provided. I would stay again.

The hotel was perfect for us as we just wanted somewhere to stay for 3 nights to go sight seeing arpund our capital city. It's close to ghe tube station on the central line, and there are plenty of places to eat in the direct area. Only down side, (but wasn't an issue) was there is building work going on, but they didn't wake us at stupid o'clock with noise

We were disappointed to arrive and find the front of the building was covered with scaffolding and extensive building works are in progress.This would lead to sometimes loud noise . We found the room extremely small , we found mould on the curtains ( have a photo ) the bathroom was very small and shower door was only opened to the point that we could barely fit through . There was water leaking through the window , ( have photo ) .although they had gluten free bread at the breakfast, the staff had no seperate toaster to use , inviting me to use the common use toaster , explaining it was clean . Despite the sign in the breakfast room ,asking people to declare any allergens or food intolerance , there appeared to be a failure to have a full understanding of what contamination of food means to someone who has an allergy. The lobby looked clean and fresh ,but after that the corridors were appearing very grubby with carpet that appeared to be very old and pieces of timber coming of the walls , exposing chip board . The area it is in , is great and very close to Hyde park and local shops , to walk . While it was a great area and going through renovation, I would check first before booking to ensure that renovation completed. It may be suitable for some and I would consider staying again for a one night only stay , but for extended visits, I would find it too claustrophobic.

Not as pictured. When you book it, then they say they're undergoing construction...indeed they are with the entire facade having a makeover. Starting at about 9 or so, the drilling starts, annoying. The hotel lobby, bar and downstairs restaurant were all good and the service was good, but you have to look past the individual floors (30 year old carpet I swear), the door numbering (something done about the same time), and the single 3 person elevator since the other two are being renovated. The room - well they gave me space heaters which are abysmal to control the room heat as you have to constantly adjust to the room temp. These are not bad sized rooms though. The good news is that the food was pretty good, the service pretty good to excellent, and you're a stones throw away from the north side of Hyde Park which was quite nice. Oh, yes, and what's listed for price isn't the real price,there's taxes also which they tell you on check in. Not a big deal, but also kind of annoying is they do a 50pound withhold until your done with the stay, this is pretty bush league I think.

Basement, no window
Was given a room with no window in the basement, No warning that the room booked had no window either when booking or when checking in. Aircon /heating plant very noisy even though I had it turned off. Room had recently been refurbished I think so in good condition but it didn't have a window and the bed was wedged in between 2 columns making it difficult to access.

I would stay again
The room was good, tea and coffe maker, towels etc and clean. The coridors was a little bit worn and tatty. Staff were friendly, breakfast was very good and bar staff helpful. I will stay there again.

It would have been nice if the hotel advised up of work being done on the hotel... being woken early by drilling is not nice when your on a holiday break

We liked how close we were to 2 underground stations, Queensway and Bayswater, and a short walk from Paddington train station. We loved walking across Kensington Park to the museums and theatres. The hotel staff were very helpful and responsive to all our requests.

Absolutely no customer service given when checking in. Barely looked our direction and was so uninterested in us arriving and just set the key card down with nothing said. No lifts available so had to walk up grubby stairwell that was old, unclean, and not looked after at all. We got into our room and the peep hole cover didnt fully work so we had to stuff it with something to cover it. Builders out front so couldnt open our curtains without an audience. Bed was unclean under the duvet , as was the desk area. Bathroom was tiny with a door that wasn't fit for purpose and didnt lock, had to slide down between the wall and shower close door over and then go over to toliet. On leaving the person on reception didnt say a word we had to ask was that ok to go on after leaving keycard because there wasnt even abit of eye contact or a thank you or even just a thats you checked out. Really disappointed in the whole stay tbh, only grateful it was near the undergrounds and also we wernt needing the room other than to sleep for 1 night otherwise id have moved. Also Absolutely no soundproofing in the rooms either. Bed was a large bed but made up of 2 mattresses together which was uncomfortable.

Dear Glen, Thank you for choosing Central Park Hotel, we are sorry to say that we had an emergency maintenance work in one of our lifts and the engineers advised us to keep it turned off until the issue is completely fixed so few of our guest been asked to use the staircase to access their rooms.
