Solo traveling first room back and beyond dark dingy asked any chance of moving lovely Welsh girl on desk sorted me right out even ended up staying an extra night so thanks to her
Helpful and friendly the only annoying thing is that you Carnt get into your room untill 4pm snd you have to be out by 10am! Happy with everything else
I had the best nights sleep for ages, definitely a hotel sleep . Great staff , happy, professional, knowledgeable and approachable. Felt extremely happy and relaxed
Property very nice but
Dated also needs cleaning also no room service unless you stay for a week couldn’t see out of windows not been cleaned for months

Cheap and cheerful
You get what you pay for it’s definitely a budget hotel, it’s dated and needs modernisation. You don’t get WiFi in the bedrooms unless you pay extra for it per 24h and can only check in at 4pm and then back out the next day at 10am.

Reasonable room which felt as though it had just been refurbished. Room was at the back of the building so view left a lot to be desired! Probably 3star just about merited
The room was excellent for the price with a sea view (of sorts). Saddly the magnificent hotel has seen its best days past along time ago. On arrival drunk/ stonned woman on steps F'n and B'n on phone and the reception desk is a little heavy handed on its warning notices. Hey ho... it was £42 and once in room it was fine.
Hotel is an old hotel so rooms are dated which i prefer but bathroom modern. Couldn't fault cleanliness all over the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Bar not open all the while but can understand for thus time of year. Buffet breakfast was excellent plenty to choose from.
Overall excellent 2 days.
We had a comfortable stay and the hotel is in a very convenient location. The lack of options for a continental breakfast was disappointing with no variety day to day.
Room was next to a nightclub which was that loud I gave up trying to sleep at 3am and had to move rooms, staff weren’t happy about moving me rooms and I want a refund I had no sleep and a bad taste in my mouth from the stay! I love Southport and I go often but I won’t be returning to this hotel! Refund please.
The reception booked us in and put in to room 101 it was dark but clean, but at approximately 6.00 in the morning a generator/air conditioning unit started up out side the windowcand it was realy loud and did not stop until about 9.15, it was very bad. We complained at reception and they changed our room straight away to a just better room.
Initially we were given a room that was too far away from the lift and there were too many steps. We both have mobility problems. The room was also very small and not good. We were given another room which was adequate for our needs and very close to the lift. There was no view and just looked out to a wall. The window needed cleaning as there were dead flies etc. and also, the room was very hot. Apart from this the hotel itself is very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. The drink prices were on par with other pubs we visited. Did enjoy the stay and would go back to the hotel but maybe in a better room. Loved Southport.

Old fashioned, kept awake until 2am with music from nearby bar.
This is a lovely hotel. I dont think you could wish for a better location. All the staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is well worth the money. Room was roomy, clean and quiet. On site car parking is a bonus but to be honest, parking in Southport is plentiful anyway. Id really recommend this hotel as value for money. Shame the pool was closed though....didnt notice that when booking.

Stayed here before and was very happy. Unfortunately the bed was so hard we could not sleep but staff were excellent and breakfast also great value.
The lifts didn’t work, I saw one older lady having to sit and recover on the stairs. My door didn’t lock, I had to raise it with the front desk. Breakfast ended at just 10:00am and the condition of the whole place was very dated and tired. Definitely not worth the money.

Hotel very worn and old and tired. I attended a ball there some 25 years ago and it still looks the same.
