It’s a convenient place to stay if you are going to Haydock park racecourse. You can park the car and walk to the racecourse.

No water provided in the room. Room was air conditioning was set far too hot and we could not change it had to prop all the windows open. Cigarette butts on ground outside the main entrance.

Very dog friendly hotel. Clean room. Loads of parking. Excellent staff. Reception check in very quick. Breakfast staff excellent especially Abbie. Nothing too much trouble and couldn’t be more helpful.

Staff were polite. The cleaning staff did a great job. Hot breakfast buffet options were basic but is what is expected. We stayed here to visit family nearby so it was perfect for us.

Great location and hotel
Great stay with pool and a gym. Room very clean and a good location. Shower in the forth floor needed abit more pressure, would have been a better wash in the sink

Nicest hotel in area
I stay here regularly to see family and it's a great hotel. The staff are really helpful and friendly, the rooms are in good condition and very clean, and the bedroom heating makes it very warm during the cold weather in January. The bar and lobby area is nice with comfy sofas and stays open for residents after hours. Lots of parking available - if you come by car there is an ASDA petrol station nearby that does fuel far cheaper than at the motorway services.

We had a great time at this hotel recently. The staff were all very friendly, food was fantastic, lovely room and we enjoyed the pool although it was very busy. The extra touches for my birthday were much appreciated too. Thank you again.

Hotel was perfectly OK, nothing more. Hotel is a little tired, especially from it's old architecture. Reception staff good and friendly. Restaurant is soulless and cold. Took ages to get served, ages for my starter to arrive (first order was cancelled) and then ages for my main. 90 minutes from bum on seat to main course. Gave up on ordering a dessert. Breakfast was perfectly OK, little more than that.

Service - hotel reception staff were amazing, specially the night staff Shaun and the other young guy. However I didn't like the restaurant service at all. Firstly they didn't want people to sit on the tables at the end even though people were standing waiting for a table for ages. They then gave us a table which they didn't clean. Comfort - the sofa bed had springs popping out and the mattresses was completely gone yes room 327, I mentioned it to them but they ignored it completely. I struggled to sleep for 2 nights due to the uncomfortable bed and I left with back pains. The main double bed sheets had stains on it when we first entered the room so had to call the reception and someone came and changed it. Most of the items in the room was broken and there was dirt in the corners of the room. I think the cleaners didn't deep clean before letting the room out to us. Location - was perfect Heath club - Health club staff are really friendly and kind. The pool was nice and warm, however the gym area needs improvement.

Hotel was circa 40-50 years old, so built in a time without architectural merit, it had been maintained but no sign of a refurbishment. Room was ok, not special not terrible. Food was frankly poor, seemed like microwaved pub fare, ok if sold at pub prices but disappointing for a decent hotel chain. This place is perfectly acceptable for a stop over on business, as I was. I would not recommend for leisure.

We had a wonderful stay at Haydock Holiday Inn. Plenty of parking spaces, quiet place, staff service topnotch, place was clean, breakfast and restaurant food were delicious. Five stars.

Great short weekend away.
Stayed here a few times and returned again for a quick break again. Staff were on top Form and really looked after us again. Really treated the kids well. Room was clean and tidy as per usual. Spent the weekend in the pool just relaxing. Will be coming back. Great staff and hotel.
