"I travel to Liverpool every month and stay in this hotel regularly. It’s normally fine but my meal last night in the restaurant was one of the worst i have ever experienced. I decided to treat myself to a ribeye steak. It costs £48 so definitely was a treat. It was dreadful. Horrifically over cooked, so much so that I sent it back which I never do. The waiter agreed that it was badly cooked. Took them 20 mins to cook another steak which was even worse than the original one. Over-cooked and tough. It was horrible and made me ill. Service was super slow as well and the restaurant was practically empty. No formal apology, no discount just the offer of a fee dessert but having been there already for 90 mins and on my own I just wanted to leave. So disappointed. Will be changing my hotel in the future. Avoid at all costs."

"Only one of the two lift would allow you to push the button for the 4th, 5th & 6th floor. Lighting in the room was very dull and only two lamps. Water from bathroom taps when it did come out it exploded out, lots of air in the system. Only one plug socket available to use. Asked reception for best way to get to Hill Dickinson Stadium, told to either walk (45/50 minutes) or best option get a taxi. I said I’d heard their where shuttle bus, to which the reply was no, they didn’t bother to do those, but only a couple of streets away I found the shuttle buses."

"Hadn't stayed her for years but room was lovely with great view. Staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. The place could do with some tlc but on the whole a very enjoyable experience."

"The room was very clean and big enough for us and our toddler, although i don't see how it could sleep 5. The facilities offered in the room were also great, for example there wasn't just tea and coffee, there was also a coffee pod machine, but i would have also liked to have seen hot chocolate. There were also little extras in the bathroom such as a shaving razor, toothbrush (but no toothpaste) and a little sewing kit. I also noticed in the bathroom that there was a sign saying to hang your towels up if you didn't need them changed but this sign is small and i didn't see it until my 2nd day at the hotel. I also liked the size of the TV, but was a bit annoyed that it didn't have all the freeview channels or Netflix available and it was an hour behind. I also thought it was odd that the bins in the room didn't have bin liners and i The hotel also came with a small swimming pool, sauna and gym but we weren't properly told how to book it. The breakfast also offered a really big buffet, but i would have preferred the hot food to be served fresh. And i think the evening meal was a bit expensive."
