"We took the train from our home in the west country to Stansted. It's an easy walk to/from the train station in the airport although it could have done with some signage (took a bit to find). We were nicely greeted by the desk staff upon arrival and checked in quickly. We dropped the luggage in the room and headed down to get some dinner. The hostess and wait staff were great as was the pizza we shared. Our negatives for this hotel were two fold. 1) Just because your clients are a "captive audience" doesn't mean you have to charge an exorbitant amount for drinks and food! 2) Our room carpet was dirty and worn, literally torn and threadbare outside the bathroom! Luckily, like most of their guests probably, we were there for less than 12 hours in anticipation of an early morning flight. We will stay there again if needed for an early morning flight, but just make certain to grab dinner before we arrive."

"Dry disappointed with the venue as a whole. It advertises electric charging car facilities, yet no one on the property knew how to use them so was unavailable. The room was supposed to be prepared for twin beds and wasn’t so had to wait. When beds were separated, condoms were found u see the bed and just left out. The spa facilities were out of order ( jacuzzi and sauna). The hotel bar was small and rubbish. The staff were largely unhelpful and I knowledgeable. The exception to all of this was the golf club. Excellent service, amenities and bar area. Overall - not impressed"

"Arrived just before midnight to a very warm welcome allocated a room on the 7th floor. 24 hour service available. Had a delicious pizza and drinks before a great nifhts sleep.complementary breakfast was excellent and a check out at 12 means you don't have to rush"

"This hotel met our needs. It is in need of an update. The shower pan was dangerously slippery without any grab bars. There was a warning sign but better to put something on the surface to minimize or eliminate this issue. Also, in our assigned room, the tempering valve (that controls the shower water temperature) did not function and consequently the shower water temperature was extremely difficult to control resulting in a possible scalding as the hot water was extremely HOT!! This all said it was close to Stansted and met our needs before an early morning flight to Prague."

"The Green Man public house is awesome dating back to the 1300’s and is full of character. Although our room was in the block at the rear of the of the pub, was clean and tidy, there were areas which were not good. The bathroom was in need of renovation, the extractor fan was thick with dust and there was a section of skirting board in the bedroom which had actually rotted! Several lamps on the room didn’t work. The king size bed was very comfortable affording a great sleep. Had to forgo breakfast on one morning as they had no eggs or fresh salmon left! However the food was excellent having eaten there two evenings and the following day managed an excellent breakfast. The pricing of the food overall is very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. That all said however, feel that I would stay again - better than a Premier Inn. the overall stay was excellent given the character of the pub, the food, staff and comfy bed,"
