Standard Double Room, Ensuite
Fraoch House
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (421)
"Fraoch House is a sweet place. It's older and has charm. Matthew the host was solicitous and eager to please. We had breakfast one morning and it was excellent. Our room was adequate. Lack of a plug convenient to one side of the.bed and.odd chairs that tipped over when we sat in them were drawbacks. The location was a disappointment. We didn't realize how far we were from everything. There is good bus service, but if you prefer to walk to attractions it's quite a slog. If you have a car it's no...

"Pillars house was absolutely incredible! We had never been to Scotland before, and pillars house was the perfect place for us. Not only is it in a gorgeous and accessible area of town, but the host, Craig, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. His knowledge of Edinburgh saved us from wandering around looking for the best eats, in fact right when we arrived he sat us down and wrote us a list and marked a map with his favourite spots. Pillars house was truly the most homey place so far from...

"Hotel in general need of a ‘spruce up’, noisy and the breakfast staff weren’t the most helpful. However check in/reception was excellent, the Arran products were lovely, bar staff great and the parking was the main feature. It’s in a gorgeous location and is overall a great hotel. Thanks for the stay :)"

"We got lucky and found a street parking spot right in front of the property. Once we arrived there was no one there and we couldn’t find our room. We had to call the emergency number and after about 10 minutes on the call with them, we found it. It would be nice if they put clear markers for all rooms. We were facing to road and an ally so we opened our windows to let the cool breeze in. The room was perfect! Also, there is an Indian restaurant near by that I would highly recommended!!! "
