Stayed overnight prior to a university visit, very clean /tidy, bed slightly harder than normal, but not overly hard. Good facilities overall including a small Gym.

It was a very pleasant stay. It was however far too hot and when arrived portable heater was on full. Air con/heater system wasn't work in room but generally just too hot.

All of a high standard although there was a slight problem after we had booked breakfast for the morning of our departure. The charge had appeared on my card but the booking had not appeared on the restaurant breakfast listing. Only after I showed reception the bank listing for the payment was the booking accepted. The reception staff who took the breakfast reservation had not entered it in their system despite taking the payment! Reception agreed that I must have booked it as the total bill for our stay included the room fee plus £24 for 2 breakfasts. I asked for a printed final bill showing zero net amount to pay, which was no problem for reception to provide.

Staff are so accommodating and go out of their way to help you. The hotel is situated in a good location and easy to find. Really can’t fault the stay from start to finish and the all the staff made this possible.

Fairly basic rooms as expected. Average value for money. They were very strict on 'no early check-in' which was a bit surprising as they were clearly almost empty. Also, they put us in the furthest room away from reception for some reason, was a 5 minute walk to get to it. My wife is heavily pregnant, so this was a bit annoying. After we had settled in, we went down to the reception and asked why we were put so far. The receptionist was nice (different one to the one earlier who refused us early check-in) and offered us a nearer room, but at that stage we didn't want to go and move our bags (we were only staying 1 night) In summary, few small things would have made this stay nicer for us, but it was more or less as I expected.

Generally very good and happy with stay Room 222 wouldn’t heat up and was very cold. Air conditioning unit only supplied cold air even on higher setting Was going to have evening meal in the hotel. I stood waiting to be seated when a member of staff came out, saw me there and turned around without acknowledging me heading back into the kitchen. Therefore I walked away and went to the Harvester next door where I was greeted straight away and served quickly. An acknowledgment that I was standing there was all it took to stop me walking away

Good but signs of standards dropping.
Radiator in the room, as the air conditioning unit was not working and which had flashing lights on it all night, didn’t realise how bright they would be until I turned the lights off. Light switches beside the bed for the various lamps not working correctly. No hot water in the morning at 6:30 for a shower. Tried again a few times and went for breakfast, reported it to reception and they informed me it’s a known problem at peak times. Managed to get a shower at 8:10. Lucky I was able to check out late for me.
