“Business trip”

“Nice hotel”

Room was very comfortable - not a great view but this meant it was very quiet. This was a bonus as there was a wedding reception on the Saturday night. Didn't really impact on us as we ate out on Saturday - although on our return for a nightcap did have a long wait for a drink in the cocktail bar - poor barman did try asking assistant manager for help but didn't get it. All in all staff very friendly and lovely breakfast

“Great hotel for a quiet getaway treat”

My husband and I booked this hotel for a short break. The hotel is ideally located in a secluded area but less than 10 minutes by car to shops, resaurants, cinema, etc. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. The cleanliness of the main hotel areas, the bedrooms and the leisure, spa and pool facilities is very good. There is a good choice of menu for breakfast and dinner was very good. One thing I would note to other visitors/guests is that even for hotel rates, the bar prices are scary, eg glass of white wine is £12.00. I would still stay there again.

“Great back massage.”

If you like your cocktails dont order at this hotel. Poor french martini and whisky sour, just not mixed properly. Poor service, staff didn't seem "switched on". Nice pool and lovely back massage, and the girls giving the massages were very professional - great.

“Kilbride Stay...”

Was given a dingy room that i couldn't swing a cat around?? bed just not comfy and the pillows seemed to have plastic in them, so a very restless night. considering i was and have been a member for a long time with the chain, i wasn't really looked after. probably the other rooms where Ding-Dong, but hey, will learn in the future ???

“Expensive breakfast”

I had no wireless reception in my room on the first night and asked to be moved to another room. I was but I still had no reception yet I still had to argue to get the charge for wireless refended. I ate in the bar on both nights and have to say that the food was very good and both Chris and Alison were very pleasant and provided great service on very busy evenings. I would also say that the helth club and pool are excellent, clean and well maintained with helpful, friendly staff. On checkout I was behind several other guests all trying to check out and more than one of them had something to complain about - mainly the fact that the hotel adds a £2 surcharge if you want to settle your bill by credit card. I would stay here again but only if the other similar standard hotels in the area were full and I could get a bed and breakfast package. If you don't breakfast is £17.50 extra!
