The online pictures are very misleading. When we arrived, there was no one at the desk , but there was a sign saying we should call a number to register our visit. The so-called breakfast area had a small refrigerator on the counter with breakfast sandwiches piled on top of each other and a large of opened milk inside. I wouldn’t eat that food unless I was forced to… The rugs were dirty, there was big clumps of dirt on the rug, the mattress was terrible. We did not stay the night there.

Room 110 was very clean and it looked like it had been recently renovated. There was new tile and carpeting on the floors which looked very nice. The room had been freshly painted and the vanity was granite. To complete the job they should buy new bedspreads and draperies that compliment the colors on the walls. They could also touch up the old worn wood furniture with a little wood stain then I think the room would look sharp. We slept well in the quiet comfortable room.

The room was not very clean. There were water stains above the shower. They only offer soap and shampoo - no conditioner. There was no protein on the breakfast.

The building seemed new put together with low grade materials. Most all the exterior room windows were double/triple paned a the gas clearly wasn’t intact. You couldn’t see out the windows. Not that there is anything to see. The furniture all seemed to be what could be picked up at a thrift store. Mismatched damaged pieces. Even though the bed seemed to have clean sheets and pillow cases and was made, the mattress had dips in it on both sides; was not flat. The microwave and refrigerator looked to be from the 70s , with rust along the bottom of the fridge door. They worked tho! We were tired and accepted the cheapest option for the area-Proving you get what you pay for. I believe the carpet was new as was the paint on the walls. Bathroom was clean.

Clean and Accommodating
We've stayed here many times over the last 4 years while our daughter attended college. The staff has always been very nice and accommodating (early check-in, late check-out, extra pillow), and the rooms are always very clean and ready for us. Breakfast is simple but well-stocked with pancakes, microwavable sausage egg and cheese croissants, and the usual cereal, wrapped muffins, yogurt etc. Stayed at the other hotel once and was not impressed. Save your money and stay here!

This is about what one would expect in rural southern Iowa. It’s so close to being really good, just a bit more attention to detail. Get rid of the colonial furniture in the updated rooms, it looks odd. The lobby and hallways need some investment and tlc. That said, I would likely stay there again in a pinch.

I online Booked a one night stay for 2 adults, 2 double beds, nonsmoking, on upper level. My traveling companion arrived at the inn prior to me approximately 1:15 pm on the booked day & asked the male employee at the front desk if he could view any 1 room representative of the type we woujd be assigned upon our check in at 3 pm for the purpose of possibly requesting an upgrade. My friend provided my personal information & his own personal information upon the employee’s request (email etc). I don’t understand why his information was required. Already had all my credit card information. At this the employee stated he didn’t have time to show what he stated was approximately 20 some rooms. My friend stated that was not at all what he was requesting. Upon the employee’s continued refusal to show a room & overall attitude we decided to seek lodging elsewhere.

There are no redeeming qualities for this property. The smell was penetrating and i can still carry it again today. Cleaning supplies and equipment was stored in the hall, no door or curtain to hide it. As i laid on the bed I looked up to see a smoke dector missing an wires dangling from the mounting plate. When you check-in you have to call a personal phone number to get an attendant at the desk. There was a ring of keys on the desk witin easy reach. If these were master keys they sat there over night. The only thing that looked new was the luggage cart. If this is representative of what you rent, nay, recommend, I hope readers of this will do as I did and tear up my membership info.

This was a good value for the money. Nothing fancy for sure. The breakfast was simple; cereal, yogurt, pancakes, pre-packaged egg sandwich. The room had a fridge, microwave, and was extremely large, with an old fashioned gliding style rocker chair. Bed was fine and it was quiet. I was surprised to get a phone call from them asking about my expected arrival time. Upon arriving, there was a sign that no one monitors the front desk after midnight, so that explains why they checked on my arrival time.
