“Tradertastic!!!!!”

The Traders hotel is an asset to Kuala Lumpur. Upon checking in at 2am in the morning we were greeted with a smile and a font of knowledge about the city. We went for the club room and it was really worth it. Our room was spacious, modern and well equipped, a shower and a bath NOT a shower over bath...BLISS!!!! With access to the club lounge we received breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. All of which were ample and delicious and to put a cherry on the cake came with a fantastic view of the Petronas Towers! Staff went out of their way to help and guide us. For the price this is a true gem.

“Best Hotel we've ever stayed at!!”

This hotel was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly at all times and were ready to help if needed. The room was superb and clean, with a stunning view of the Petronas Towers, and the breakfast very nice. This is the best hotel that we've stayed in, and shouldn't be missed!! I can honestly say we found no negatives with this hotel.

Very comfortable, good restaurant, get a Park View room to be opposite the Petronas Twin Towers.

“Recommend for business but maybe not for pleasure”

Firstly, the hotel itself is great. Everything is new and shiny and what you would expect from a top notch hotel. The staff are impeccable and cannot help enough. The rooms are designed beautifully, the furnishings are contemporary and of a high quality. The only downside though is that the location is not great for getting into the tourist areas of Bukit Bintang or Chinatown. It's at least a 15min or 30min walk respectively. Although the hotel is directly opposite the Petronas towers and its mall all the other key hotspots are some distance away.

“Very nice hotel in great location”

We only stayed here one night after spending the rest of our holiday in the Swiss Garden. I booked this based on other reviews and with the location in mind. It is a very nice hotel and comparable with other Shangri-la hotels I have stayed in (when work was paying :) but slightly cheaper. I arrived early and was still offered check-in there and then, however we waited until the original room (garden view) was ready. The view of the Petronas Towers from the room is sensational both in daylight and darkness, and was worth the cost of the room alone. The room was what you would expect from a Shangri-la - ie not huge, but very nice with all the nice touches, toiletries etc really like a 5* hotel. The shower was fantastic as well and the quality of the food from room service very nice. The sky-bar was another reason I chose this hotel and it is lovely, open late and with the best view from a bar I have ever had in the world. Get ready to pay alot for drinks though by any standards. In summary, a lovely hotel and great service, cheap for what you get and also a great rate through expedia - fab location too.

“Anniversary Experience”

After reading customer reviews we used the Traders Hotel to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and it more than lived up to our expectations. Opting for a Executive Park View room to give us excellent views of the Petronas Towers and park, our bedroom and bathroom was decorated with red rose petals. The Club Lounge was well worth the upgrade, with an inclusive breakfast,afternoon tea (with a small snack), in the evening complementary drinks with buffet snacks. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very well run most comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

“Impressive hotel with the best views”

The hotel is in a great location with impressive views of the Petronas Towers. Even if your room does not look directly on to the towers you can still experience this if you go to the Sky Bar which has great reviews for a place to have drinks and relax and take in the views. The restaurants have a great choice of food for all tastes and requirements, the staff are very professional but extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel has everything you want and need for your stay in KL. I would definately recommend it for the price and quality you receive. Overall I would personally rate the hotel 10 out of 10.

“Traders hotel ideally situated in Kuala Lumpur”

Traders Hotel is known in KL by this name(Shangri La will confuse taxi drivers) It is an excellent hotel situated within walking distance, by covered air conditioed walk passageway, of the twin towers and its shopping mall. The swimming pool is long and open to the sky but lined by comfortable seating. It has a spectacular view being on the top floor. The breakfast was excellent and the service A1. Being an expedia guest turned out to be a bonus as to my surprise the room was a suite overlooking the twin towers. A terrific sight by night. Enjoy your stay.
