Very pleasant surrounding, Great servicePosted 23-May-2014 on Hotels.com
This was the fourth time I stayed at Holiday Inn Glenmarie and, like the last 3 times, I was impressed by the service. This time we had 14 of our overseas guests staying there too and many plan to return for a golf holiday later this year. We were upgraded to an Executive Room which was very spacy and comfortable. The service was great and staff were very friendly. The only minor area I could comment on was the way the reception staff handling room allocations. Two of my guests checked in at 5pm but was told room would be available in 20 minutes. After 1 hour later the room promised to them was still available. Our guests ended up getting another room (not the one promised to us initially) 5 hours later.

Great surrounding, Welcoming servicePosted 20-May-2014 on Hotels.com
This is my fourth time staying at HI Glenmarie and the service was great and friendly as previously. The Executive Suite we were provided was very roomy and comfortable. The only minor negative was the break-down in communications between Operatonal Management and Front Desk staff. Arrangement made with Management was not clearly conveyed to Reception staff. Rooms were not made available as promised by Reception staff. But these are minor and considered as room for improvement.

Fantastic service, but was given a ground floor Garden View Room which was quite wet and with an unpleasant smell.

Peaceful location on a golf coursePosted 26-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here numerous times over recent years and find it consistently good value. Check-in/out quick and the cold drink and towel very welcome. The Club Lounge is peaceful and offers afternoon coffee and pre dinner cocktails with tasty snacks. Bedrooms are roomy, comfortable and offer free wifi, daily newspapers and efficient maid service. Breakfast in the Kites Restaurant is delicious, vast and quickly replenished - try the roti, curry gravy and dhal! A la carte prices are reasonable. Two swimming pools (one Olympic size) and gym are clean and well maintained. Lobby lounge provides great nightly entertainment although drinks are expensive. All staff are very friendly and always acknowledge guests. Will definitely stay again in this great hotel on it's own golf course.

Too far from central Kuala LumpurPosted 12-Feb-2014
Pros: Very comfotable with a beautiful view.
Cons: Advertising a more precise location.
Location: We were stuck and frustrated and too tired to do anything much because the location was extremely inconvenient.
This hotel is in a beautiful setting, but be careful as it is very far from any public transport. We were stuck in a traffic jam for over an our to get to the light rail one morning. When I booked I asked for something near the Petronas Towers and got a hotel way out of the sightseeing area. Expedia is usually good but this time I was sorely disappointed by the inconvenience it caused me and my partner. As we are budget travellers we found the buffet restaurant too expensive, but the fish and chips next door at the golf club excellent,

A perfect peaceful place to stayPosted 04-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
Have stayed at the Glenmarie numerous times over the recent years and as ever our 2 night stay was the peaceful "getaway" break we wanted. Although we are not golfers the golf course view from the large "homely and well appointed" rooms is fabulous. The Olympic size pool is always quiet. The second smaller and shaped pool is more often used by families. An onsite Cafe serves superb traditional dishes at very reasonable prices. Breakfast served til 10.30am is vast and varied. The reception bar/cafe provides musical entertainment. All staff are friendly, always acknowledge guests and are eager to please. If you're lucky to stay in a Club room the Club Lounge provides all day non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. The evening "Cocktail hour" is a luxurious treat too. Will definitely stay here again.
