Perfect Hotel in Kota Kinabalu City

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Certain repair on the bathroom would be perfect.
Location: Shopping malls and tasting restaurants around Kota Kinabalu while getting best memory with my couple.
After a frustrating stay in a budget hotel in June 2014, moving in here 2 days it's same like "I am home". In here it's equipped with all things you need as a house: 1. Clean bed 2. Heating kettle 3. Coffees and Teas 4. Refrigerator 5. Hair dryer 6. Bed lamp 7. Cabled telephone 8. TV 9. Aircon 10. Heater bath 11. Shampoos and soap 12. Toilet rolls 13. Towels (Clean and soft) 14. Laundry hanger 15. Wardrove and many more. Very nice lift, customer services and bellboy are ready to service in 5 mins. Price is above average but it a perfect hotel for long stay. VERY RECOMMENDED HOTEL to stay.

Ok hotel, be careful of the adjoining restaurant

Posted 25-Apr-2014
Pros: Good price, helpful staff and good location
Cons: It's rather tacky to have a karaoke bar joined to the hotel i.e. part of the hotel. To me this totally brings down the hotel's image.
Location: Great location-markets, food, shopping centres very close by.
Hotel was ok but REALLY recommend you don't go the windowless option, it feels like an enclosed box. Westerners beware, we decided to go to the adjoining restaurant one evening. I ordered a meal, specifically quoting the item number. They made the wrong meal but told me the meal they delivered was in fact the one I ordered. The 'wrong' meal was fine but the point was it was perfectly ok with them to lie to me, presumably because I was a westerner and likely wouldn't know the difference. I wasn't happy at all to be treated like this!

You get what you pay for.

Hotel location and cost is all that this hotel has going for it. Originally they told me I booked in for the week after, then they locked me out half through my stay saying I was suppose to have checked out. Free Wifi is a joke, the menu prices do not include the 16% taxes and a can of coke cost RM8.00 next door is RM2.00. Could not get them to restock the coffee making facilities so take your own coffee and sugar. There is no concierge and the tour desk is through a single agent so not really interested in finding you the best tours. My advice pay extra.

Good base to explore Kota Kinabalu

Posted 19-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
This is an average hotel. It was the most expensive one I stayed in in Malaysia, and I am not sure why as it was the least pleasant. The room was a decent size and clean, breakfast had a good enough selection of food and staff were reasonably helpful. They play loud Chinese music in all of the corridors which you can hear clearly in the rooms. On the first night we were there they 'forgot' to turn it off until we rang reception to tell them we couldn't sleep because of the noise. It is in a good location which I guess explains the price.

Clean and comfortable, great location

Posted 16-Feb-2014 on Hotels.com
Great hotel for this price point. Room was clean, bed and sheets were comfortable. Aircon worked well, except the thermostat numbers were worn away, so no clue where to set it... and I don't think it even worked, but it was ok because it turned on and cooled the room nicely. Internet was on and off for the 1st 2 days, then worked ok after that... just basic stuff, no voip calls so I don't know how fast it was. Centrally located in KK.. easy walking to restaurants and the waterfront. Easy cab service if you didn't want to walk.

Nice location, hotel is falling apart.

Pros: the location, near to everything in KK City
Cons: Staff should be more friedly, cleaning the rooms, providing hot water, repairing their roof
Location: Kota Kinabalu is a nice town. The Sunday market is great.
Our room didn´t have a window. We were in room 1014, we didn´t have hot water, from our seiling was dropping water and they didn´t change our room even, just gave us a bin.
