The quality of products available in Hyatt’s rooms are poor enough to merit a downgrade from their 5-star status. Considering the price point, chipped mugs, a non-functional refrigerator and poor quality bath products were a massive turn off.
Additionally, the staff is either unaware or quite rude. Upon asking the size of the pizza available for in-room dining, the lady on the other end said that it’s a 6 inch pizza with 8 slices! Haven’t heard anything more ridiculous. It ultimately turned out to be 11 inches. We were also told to choose from the available options (which were limited to 3 to begin with) as no customisation is possible! All we asked was to customise the vegan pizza to include regular mozzarella cheese. Upon requesting multiple times, she agreed to give us a regular chicken pizza.
As regards the valet, there seems to be an attitude problem. He requested us to take all our belongings in one go as it’s not possible for him to bring the car around whenever asked to do so. Further, when checking out, he asked us not to make the valet wait once the car had been brought around. The delay was due to the front desk facing a technical issue and delaying our billing.
Overall, the experience was abysmal. Would recommend Westin or any Marriott Bonvoy group hotel over Hyatt.
