Great, peaceful location. Good, medium size complex. I found a couple things not working in my room, but they were fixed fast. Overall in 50 days in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, and Samui, I liked this location and atmosphere the best.

Well worth the money!!!
Nice small pool right next to a beautiful little beach with close to perfect sand facing the sunset. Add the loungers and cheap beer from a store just across the street and you have a great combination!!! (Note: there is a 2nd larger pool out front). We also rented a scooter across the street for only 200 Baht per day. Breakfast was good with a girl making eggs to your liking, but could be improved by including bacon. Room was ok. Bathroom needed more cleaning which they did immediately on request and gave us two complimentary coconut drinks for our troubles. We enjoyed using the free kayaks. The bicycles usually cost 150 Baht per day but because they needed some repairs they let us use them for free. We booked two nights and stayed five.

Stunning view overlooking the beach plus the sunset is a bonus and the garden's are exotic and beautifully kept. The area is very quiet with only 6 small Thai restaurants within walking distance serving food upto 9:30pm. This is the place if you want to relax. Would definitely go back.

Nice hotel
Staff very helpful and pleasant.All would have been perfect stay for me if the cleaners were quiet in morning.they were meeting in main hall of poll view rooms about 6.30 am to pack the linen for laundry and they were talking and very noisy until 7.30am or so.I asked them two mornings in a row to be quiet but did not happen.they were not working,they were just sitting chatting asumming persinal issues

We had a great time at a quiet lovely hotel by the beach. The sunset was beautiful, the environment was peaceful and the staff was friendly. I would definitely come back to this place. Only thing is, I don't recommend eating at a small restaurant right in front of the hotel across the street. Eat either at the hotel (bit pricey) or rent a scooter at the store for only 200 baht a day and go in to town. but over all it was a nice relaxing experience.

I truly loved this place and wished I could stay longer. Sure, it's not the newest spot, but what it lacks in newness it makes up for in charm. I loved the beach, and the garden area.

The beach frontage is a major asset
This Resort has a magnificent outlook into Lipa Noi with soft sand beaches and umbrellas. {not enough for all guests} so you get people hogging them. The Hotel rooms are OK but rather tired and old fashioned and the bathroom/wet room means everything gets wet when you shower. All in need of refurbishment. Staff are generally helpful and breakfast is a highlight with a fantastic choice to meet both Western and Asean tastes. All in all for the price it is OK.

Remote location from the crowd , calm at night
Stay as a mature couple with one additional member in the sixties for sight seeing, and rest. One round trip by private taxi and one excursion in the Marine Park, both satisfactory. a couple of day rest with some shopping at Nathon nearby. DIner by the beach at various places within walking distance for the resort.

Upon arrival fresher drink was presented. Our bags were carried for us to room. The place was spacious. The beach area was nice and quiet with a lady selling drinks,snacks and a menu was available to order food on the beach for 50% off for happy hour. . There's a nice beach swing. There's aren't big waves in this area but sunset was beautiful. Kayak was free to use. I like how the location is close to the pier. Swimming pool was nice. Didn't know where the beach towel area was so was bit cold coming out of the ocean and pool. They should have it available in a covered area or so. The bathroom shower was open where the water would get all over the bathroom floor and around the sink and toilet. It was just a heating water system attached to the wall. There was a safe in the room but had errors that I didn't bother to try to use. Overall it was a nice stay to end our island tour trip as it was quiet and relaxing.

I am totally satisfied with my stay at this excellent hotel. The front desk staff was most courteous upon check in, and all the staff are extremely welcoming, professional and very helpful in assisting me. Location on the white sandy beach is amazing, and breathtaking sunsets. The room is very clean and comfortable, and the hotel is clean and bright. Internet is fast, food is good, location is nearby shopping, and the pools are very relaxing. I am really impressed by the level of service the hotel staff delivered. Highly recommended property!

Pleasant Surprise in the Vicinity of Raja Ferry
Rajapruek is a cute charming hotel with a clean white sandy beach. The staff speaks decent English. The restaurant is too pricey, however. Walk across the street for cheap and excellent Thai food. If you are looking for peace and quiet with no frills, it is a place to consider. Thumbs up!

Simple resort for average price
This is  a very simple and more affordable option than other places on the island, but you get what you pay for. Location is close to a pier which is convenient, but mostly irrelevant given the standardised taxi rates on the island. Especially given any desire for good food or nighttime activities, all based in Chaweng, the fare each way is high (min. 500 bhat each way). Taxis can be very expensive and non negotiatable. Rooms were moderately clean but were loud given the hallway, and were very simple in nature. Breakfast was ok, but offered your typical basic necessities. WiFi was hit and miss. Positives were beach access (and kayaks) and helpful front desk staff.

Pros: Close to Lipa Noi Pier, if you have a transfer. Hotel is clean and has a nice small beach in front. Room has a decent size with a queen bed, Air conditioner and hot water showers. Restaurant staff is very friendly. Cons: Because it's far from everything, I felt they overcharge you for any sort of transportation. I had to pay 250bht for a 6min taxi drive to get to lipa noi pier. Should have been max 100bht. No fresh juices on breakfast, just powdered juice (ew). As I was just staying for one day, that's what I gathered for this short period.

a quit hotel with good food
the hotal is very nice. If you just look for a place to relax , with a good book - thats the place. the area of the hotal is very nice,there are a lot of flowers and statues around. The food was also very good. One comment-to explore ko-samoi , you need to rent a car or motor bike. The hotel is very insulated

Nothing like the website
Stayed here one night on return leg of three week journey through Thailand. Booked before and paid for beachfront bungalow as a treat as it was our last night on the islands. When we arrived we thought we must have been taken to the wrong place, it looked awful. Apartment blocks, a terrible restaurant, rusty swimming pool in a concrete 'garden' - the whole place looked nothing like their website. We were so disappointed as we thought this hotel would be amazing. The room itself wasn't on the beach, it was on grass and had two sun-chairs, a table & chairs directly outside which I assume were for us but they were constantly in use by other guests. Room was clean but didn't have the wow factor & bathroom really needed upgrading, it was quite mouldy round the seals. Whole place felt quite depressing & a lot like a British holiday park. We thought there was a spa (from info on website) but no, they could just call in someone to give you a massage if you wanted (in your room for 500bht). All in all a really disappointing stay, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. If you do need to stay around here (like we did, for the ferry from Nathon) there was a lovely looking resort down the beach (sorry can't remember name, look 100 mtrs south of resort) and we'd recommend Big John's for dinner (at Lipa Lovely Resort).

The beach is the only reason to stay here, lovely
The beach was great for swimming and kids to play. Beach bungalows looked like best rooms but did not stay in as they were not available. If you want to chill on the beach for a couple of days, then this was a good beach and the hotel was lower priced than most beach resorts so good value for that. If you don't want to eat at hotel, either rent a car which we found was cheaper than taxi or pay the fares. We did not want to eat at the hotel because we did not find the breakfast very good. Eggs cooked fresh and fruit were fine. The rest of the service at the hotel was good. Rooms are tired and outdated but if you do not care about that, the bed was comfy and the ac worked well. Bathrooms could use some renovation and the bathroom amenities were poor. However great beach at a reasonable price. Would not have wanted to pay a lot more.

Its on the west side of the island. If you look for a quiet holiday this is for you. Only another room was occupied while we were there (we practically own the place!) Excellent poolside room. Very nice pool indeed. A proper 25m swimming pool if you a serious swimmer you will be delighted. The beach again is very quiet the water is not as nice as the east or north side of the island but then again this hotel is much cheaper. The only thing I found sub standard is the restaurant. We arrived late the first night so we had dinner there. Quite disappointing. Otherwise a rather nice hotel for the asking price.

Amazingly beautiful. Spectacular sunsets.
Thought the hotel and its staff were amazing. Went for my brother Alan's and his lovely bride Madoka's wedding with a party of over 20 and everyone had a brilliant time. Walking along the beach, swimming in the sea which was as hot as a bath or either of the hotel's two swimming pools was a pleasure. The food was great - catered for all tastes and nationalities - if you want burger and chips, that's what you get, but try the Thai food, it is well cooked and delicious, although watch out for the green chilli peppers, it blurred my eyesight!!! Shared the family suite with two friends and felt like royalty, wow. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The resort is on the west side of Koh Samui. It is very quiet and right on the beach. A perfect location for us. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time there and will consider to stay there again.

This is my 3rd trip to Thailand but my 1st to Koh Samui. This hotel's location wasn't really close to anything. For the price, I expected much more. The pool wasn't that great, neither was the location on the beach. There was some confusion as to our accomidations and in order for me to straighten it out the staff said I had to pay them to use the computer... fat chance. We just checked out the next day and went somewhere else. How rude! The bed was like sleeping on stone. The add said "Flat screen LCD and entertainment system" which was a lie because our room had neither.

we wanted to stay in a good resort which was a little away from the hustle of the city......n hence we chose rajapruek, which exceeded are expectations and we loved the experience..... the beach was very clean all the time with some cleaning it as soon as there was some dirt etc. the room are very good and hav everything to make you comfy if not luxurious..... the staff is one of the best aspect of the resort....very caring and accomadating and would like to fullfill all your needs to make you as comfortable as possible...... the location is perfect for those who sometime away from the night life and want to enjoy the sea and the beach......almost 40mins from the main n busiet beaches of samui....but getable when one is in the mood for some loud fun.... had a gr8 time and loved every moment of it...... thank you rajapruek

Superb Retreat
Came from Christmas Eve till the 2nd of Jan 2010. Fantastic resort at a low price. Came as a couple and found it very relaxing and enjoyable, but it seemed a toss up between couples and families. Quiet area that could use some local restaurants, but the service was top quality and would happily stay again!
