"Unexpectedly excellent hotel."
very spacious apartment, very clean, very modern, very cheap, right next to good transport links. Was pleasantly surprised with this place considering it cost us less than £17 per person per night. The hotel provided us with free wifi. Although air conditioning costs 25 euros a night. If all you require is a great hotel room at a very low cost, then this is the place. If your looking for bars, restaurants, pool etc... your gonna have a bad time. I would highly recommend this over any hostel since its the same price and its quality.

"I stayed in the best hotel."
My friends were in the Gellert and although it had a real spa attached to it, mine had a pool and sports facilities, as well as all sorts of luxury massage and therapy services. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I would certainly recommend it to anyone as a place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and very clean with enough space for 2. The Metro into Budapest was about a 5minute walk, very handy for travel into the city. Only a short distance is the largest out of town shopping and activity centre and the hotel is next to the football arena. The food was excellent and although I tried dinner in different places in town, I enjoyed my meal in the hotel the best.

"Nice and clean hotel well under budget"
I stayed here for one night and it was a very comfortable stay. It was just 10 mins distance from the tramline and thus easy to reach all major attractions. The room was very clean and tidy and also was near University area so nice place to stay. The hotel staff (Farhan) was very helpful and friendly. I will recommend it to my friend and will definitely stay there if I am ever in Budapest.

"Not bad"
This is a small hotel with few amenities that we think of in the states. However, this hotel was perfect for me. I had a car and basically only slept in the hotel. There is plenty of parking spaces, the internet was free, and the bed was comfortable. The only downsides was that the restaurant was not open. Apparently it is only open to tour buses? The other part was the hotel had no AC. This is common and I'm used to it in Europe. The problem was that there was no fan in the room or screen on the window... so leaving it open to stay cool let in all kinds of mosquitoes. I found a compromise of sorts, I used the drapes as a screen. It kept the room cool and the bugs out. I'd stay here again.

"Great Amenities and Location"
The location was perfect for us, with easy access to 2 Tram lines and 2 subway stops, all within a 5 min walk. Also super close to the famous Market, about a 10min walk, and to Vasi Street. Complimentary breakfast was a huge bonus with a great selection of both hot foods (eggs, bacon, sausage), and cold foods (fruit, cheese & meats, cereal, breads). Pick the right time to go, or it can get very crowded and difficult to find a seat. The fitness facilities were bare bones (1 bike, 1 treadmill, and some free weights), but the sauna was very nice. They even have towels and waters in the wellness area. Free wifi was also a great bonus for us, being able to stay connected to friends and families, as well as do some research on sights to visit for the following day. The room were very nice, generous by European standards, but probably a bit small by North American standards. Bathroom was huge relative to the sleeping area. Staff were all very nice and helpful with direction, dinner and spa bookings, and extremely efficient check in/out. No complaints at all for this hotel. It's fantastic value for the price!

"Short trip to Budapest"
Beautiful hotel, good food and friendly staff. The only problem was the traffic, especially the emergency services sirens which were very noisy at night!

    Pocket Guide: Budapest Jozsefvaros Hotels

Jozsefvaros is a predominantly residential area which grew as an inner suburb of Budapest in the 18th and 19th centuries, and retains much of its fine old architecture. Home to several university buildings, plus the National Museum and the Natural History Museum, it has a lively student scene, with plenty of fashionable cafes and bistros, and is currently undergoing rapid gentrification. Every May, the National Museum holds a weekend festival featuring live performances, short film screenings, and folk art displays.
