“Winter stay”

Nice hotel with pleasant staff & good rooms. Not central to town though if you haven't got transport.

“A comfortable clean hotel”

We reserved two nights at this hotel, assuming there would be plenty to see in Grenoble. In the summer it is a quiet little mountain town, but they are ready for tourists. The hotel is OK, but it is a little too far for a comfortable walk to and fro the town centre. The tram is close. The rooms are OK, but the restaurant service is very slow, and the food selection is limited. Car parking is easy, once you have found the way in. There was a bath and shower, but the bath was uncomfortably small.

This Hotel is very nice. Its clean and comfortable. The BIG downside is the location. It is a 20 minute walk to the center of town. Graffiti is rife in the area (as with Grenoble in general and ladies of the night can be found up on the bridge 100 m from the hotel). If you take a taxi you just sit in traffic at rush hour when you have to get some where. It is near bus routes but I could not find information at the Hotel. The bar is over priced with large beers at 8+ euros when you can get then between 3 and 4 in regular bars. There are only 2 channels in English on the TV unless you want to pay 25 euros a day for extra. To close, comfortable, clean, wrong location for a city break and typically for a 4star over priced facilities. PS. there is a Indian restaurant just around the corner that looks really nice but it served meat that we could not recognise!!!
