Clean, spacious room in a quiet area. Walkable to the tram, restaurants/shops and Ambras Castle. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was good.

Stay was too short!
A bit off the beaten path, until you see that public transportation is within an easy walk. Very nice accommodation for the price. We were only in Innsbruck for about 24 hours, and could easily have stayed a week.

Lovely hotel
Lovely location. Close to the tram that takes you into the city centre but in a lovely mountain view location that felt like being in the country. Breakfast was lovely & fresh. Staff all very friendly & cleanliness standards high. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very grateful to the staff for being flexible with our booking, which we had to change due to bad weather. Very nice small and friendly hotel. Clean, modern room. A bit noisy in the night, but that was one rude guest, not the hotel's fault. Room a bit warm in the night, but all in all we were very happy. Lots of choice for dinner nearby and an easy walk (or bus) to the centre.

This was a find. A super small hotel, on the edge of the city, with parking & a bus/tram running frequently into the city. Nearby are a few chain restaurants in a shopping mall & a great burger bar (Coffee Bar). The area around the hotel still feels as if you are in a small, quiet town with some farms dotted around. The hotel itself was super...small & friendly. Our room was very comfortable with a good ambiance, a sofa, coffee table, mini bar, a good sized bathroom & shower & a separate toilet. The staff were super friendly & helpful. The breakfast was great, the usual continental but very good quality & selection. We were only there overnight & I wished we could have stayed longer.

Away from the hustle & bustle, this hotel is in a perfect location with its gorgeous views of the nearby mountains. The hotel is bright & clean; we appreciated the elevator too! Breakfast is excellent, and we found 2 very nice restaurants nearby for wonderful suppers of typical Austrian fare. From the hotel, it is easy to access the countryside for day trips of exploring, or the sites of Innsbruck. We really enjoyed our 3 days there.

An excellent hotel offering great amenities and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is wonderful and the service is friendly and efficient. A good restaurant lies just around the corner (Restaurant Bierwirt) and one can buy farm produce (such as fresh milk and apples) from vending machines opposite the hotel,

Nice location
Hotel was nice , but a little uncomfortable due to no AC. We opened the door to the balcony , but neighbor was smoking on his balcony and smoke came in. Breakfast was great, reception was friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel with character
Wonderful little hotel that is easy to access with parking. I had the panorama suite on the top floor. It was spacious with a great view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with a great variety of options.

Warm and friendly
We really enjoyed the friendly hospitality at hotel Kapeller. The breakfast was excellent. I will return there anytime. Although not located in the old town, it was relatively easy to get the from the main station using the “tram number 3” train that takes about 10 min. Getting a Innsbruck card makes it worthwhile and gets you around all over town.

Lovely place, , just a little outside the city but walk 50m and the tram (no.3) will be there waiting as it is at the end of the line, approx 10 minutes into city, make sure you have the right momey for the ticket machine as it doesn't give change €2.30. The breakfast was a nice range of choice.

Just what I was looking for, will return.
Wanted a quiet hotel near to the town center, but also close to major roads as working in the nearby area. Great location on the end of the tram line, so trips to the middle of Innsbruck were very easy. Clean, no fuss, very comfortable hotel. Super breakfast and friendly service all round.

A short stay at Innsbruck for the Christmas market
Innsbruck is the capital of the tyrol and boasts several Christmas markets. Apart from the usual Gluwein, Bratwurst and chips and Gulasch suppe there are many stalls selling hand crafted items for Christmas. Sights to see: A trip up the mountain from the station near congress requires a train and two cable cars . Well worth the visit. A trip to the Stubai glacier is worth while if you want a drive out but is mainly for the skiers amongst you. Our hotel was on the outskirts of Innsbruck but getting in and out by tram was easy. The trams run every 15 minutes and costs 2 euros each way. If you are staying longer buy a card from the machine which is cheaper but don't forget to ratify it in the machine on the bus. Most of the locals do it this way. Everyone is friendly and the city is clean and tidy. There is no attempt to rip you off with tourist prices which are pretty stable across the area. Even in the mountain top restaurants which have you captive. Toilets are easily available everywhere and cost between 50 & 70 cents. Pay at machine or if in city centre at the bureau adjacent.

Good hotel on edge of Innsbruck
We were generally pleased with our stay at the Kapeller. The room we booked--a Double Room, per Expedia--was one of the larger ones in the newer part of the hotel (based on reviewing the exit-route map on our door), and had a generous amount of space with a sofa and coffee table. A hot-water kettle was available on request, as was an umbrella for use on the many rainy days in Innsbruck. Parking was free. The internet required a fresh login/verification each time you disconnected for more than a short duration, which was rather frustrating. The WC facilities close to the lobby/breakfast room were "closed" during our 4-day stay, and the hotel's water/soap was very drying to our skin (no lotion was provided), so there are some areas for improvement. Also, the hotel is near a local church which--as in much of Europe--made frequent use of its bells, so request a room facing away from the church if you want to sleep later. Breakfast was good and had a nice selection. The hotel is a short 5-minute walk to the end of a city tram line, and is a good base for exploring both Innsbruck and the surrounding area (if you rent a car). There is a shopping mall about 5 minutes in the opposite direction. We would stay here again.

If you are looking for a clean, incredibly spacious room with an outstanding breakfast, this is the place. It is a simple 15 minute tram ride to downtown and parking at the hotel is free. The staff is very friendly snd helpful. It would be worth a trip to Innsbruck just to stay here.

Lovely modern hotel
Had a late check in after a problem with our car and staff were very friendly. Room was big and very clean didn't have tea or coffee but all we had to do is ask at reception but it did not say anywhere. Very convenient for tram into Innsbruck , no restaurant on site, but plenty of places to eat in town. Parking was fine but got very busy later in the day. Definitely one of the best of 9 hotels we have stayed in this month. Breakfast was very good even bacon egg and beans, loads of other choices and plenty of it.

Staff were very pleasant. Wonderful breakfast. The hotel was situated a little out of of town but there is a tram terminal 2 or 3 minutes away. The tram ran every 15 minutes took 10 minutes to the town center.

My son and I stayed at Hotel Kapeller for 1 night at end of a skiing trip. The hotel is set back from from the road so very quiet (though you do get the church bell in the morning). A plus for a hotel neat Innsbruck centre was the free car park. Hotel seemed very clean. Our twin bed room was clean and very large with a sofa as well, separate ensuite shower room and separate ensuite toilet. Beds very comfy. Good selection for breakfast and especially liked the ability to freshly squeeze orange juice. I don't think there is a hotel restaurant in the evening but Innsbruck has plenty to chose from and we had a great meal at the "Vapiano" Italian restaurant.. Hotel staff were helpful & friendly though we didn not have any issues for them to deal with. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic, true Austrian experience. Beautiful views, great staff, wonderful breakfast, good access to highway and downtown is just a short tram ride away. Walking distance to castle Ambras, IKEA and shopping centre.
