It was a pleasant experience staying at this holiday park. Nice location, spacious and clean rooms. The swimming pool was fabulous.

We reported on our first day that we had no hot water, maintenance man arrived, looked, then left saying he would be back. Never came back! No hot water for the whole stay. Apartment was dirty and smelly, again we reported it on the first day, nothing! Extremely rundown accomodation at a high cost. IHP needs to step up and join the 21st century.

We stayed in the studio deluxe room which was very nice, although could do with a mirror in the living area. The bar and swimming area looked nice but as we stayed mid week late June there was no entertainment, which was a shame so we did not use this facility. The site was in desperate need of a complete makeover, very run down outside. It was a good place for a base to visit north Devon.

Thank you for your comments, we do now have weekend entertainment as we have hit the start of the season, the restaurant as still open when you were there, and pool and spa and sauna, I hope you used some of this. Since taking over the resort, we have used our resources to refurbish apartments and inside space, the outside is next. I think you will agree, you spend more time in your apartment, than looking at it from the outside.

Comfortable apartments which seem to have been recently renovated. Clean, warm and well equipped. Bar and clubhouse available in addition to self catering.

Perfect for us!
For three middle aged guys cycling the Devon coast to coast route, absolutely perfect! Clean, tidy, comfortable and reasonably priced. Can’t comment on the other facilities as we arrived late and left early. Reception very helpful and accommodating, keeping us updated during the day with arrangements for our late arrival. Would certainly book again.

One to avoid
We booked at last minute and from the photos showed on the website to what we had were worlds apart. The apartment was nothing what we were expecting. Would not recommend or return

I am sorry your stay was not as we would have wanted for you, the apartment you had was the right category but adapted and what we had as your booking was late. You did also book a standard apartment, I can only imagine you viewed Superior or Deluxe photos, we do sell and have correct photos for all apartments online.

Fantastic apartment
We got lovely 2 bedroom apartment, the staff was fantastic and helpful. The accommodation was really good and the bed! Really comfy (first time I slept all night when I stay away). I could even see the sea. Swimming pool was great and have slot to book. Sadly only stay one night but would highly recommend and will be coming back next year with the kids. Only bad part of whole time was.. walk back up from the town!! Do book taxi before coming back up.

Lovely apartment, modern and very new and clean. Super hot shower comfy bed. Grest view from the window. Swimming pool snd sauna both excellant as well. Our only negative was the noisy people upstairs

Avoid. Like staying on a 1950’s council estate.
Overnight business stop . Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed “superior apartment” really is stretching it. If you get put in one of the older apartments you will see what I mean. Please avoid!

A lovely warm welcome. The location is great, however the property was in dire need of updating. It had a strange musky smell, there were old stains on the sofa and the toilet seat was loose.. so kept slipping when we sat down. I did report this asap and was assured maintenance would come.. but they didn't. Having said that, the property was very clean and they provided towels, coffee and tea, which you normally wouldn't get. We were opposite some run down chalets that were borded up, so not a great view.. but it was really quiet so we slept well in a comfy bed! Overall we wouldn't return but it did ok. Basic, clean and really friendly staff.

Beautiful view
Only stayed one night but the apartment was clean and was well equipped aaaaand had a lovely view out to sea. Receptionist, Millie, went above and beyond, making us feel welcome and settling us in - very impressed.

We stayed out of the main family holiday season, so it was quiet which suited us. The apartments that face out to the road might have been affected by traffic noise, but we were further back in second block and had no issue at all. Room was very clean and comfortable.

The apartment was clean and presentable. There is a tier of apartments above ours that looked derelict. The photo on the add isn’t what the apartments look like. The brochure pictures look good. The blocks behind the photo ones aren’t so great looking. That said our apartment was clean and presentable just not in the ‘nicer’ part

Very clean. Door lock was faulty we reported it said they would deal with it but they did not. We had to put a chair by the door at night.

Very short but pleasant stay.
Two night stay while we attended a family funeral. Not the sort of accommodation we would have naturally picked, but it worked out fine. The two bed apartment on the third floor of the block met our needs. The 'holiday camp' activities going on around didn't intrude. Not cheap, but at least it was available! Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Overall a nice place to stay you can see they are working hard to do it up. Room excellent clean and tidy freshly redecorated. Need to work on reception team as check in was not good they were very abrupt and unfriendly as this is your first point of contact it my give the wrong impression. Meant to open at 9am this morning there was a queue waiting for someone to open up. No one there.

Very pleased with our accommodation newly refurbished and stylish. Lovely sea view and quiet spot. We arrived very late, but the guy on the phone talked us to where are Accommodation was as a bit tricky to find without a map.

Great base for discovering Devon & Cornwall and really appreciated the apartment upgrade. Newly refurbished 2 bed apartment, tip-top amenities, everything a family could want for a holiday home from home. Only downside was a group of idiots decided to have an almighty row in the car park from 11pm to 2am after the karaoke had finished in the clubhouse. Naturally very busy as it’s very much staycation season but maybe think about having some security on site as the idiots can’t go to Benidorm at the moment.

Ok. Some positives and negatives. So make up your own mind. 1. At the time we visitied wifi was not sorted. Only in the partial bar recreation area. So in room it was mobile data. Ok for us we carry hotspots and work away. 2. We stayed in a deluxe studio. Refurb to a good standard . But think self catering not hotel room. 3. Tv was modern with prime and netflix. So when hooked up to our hotspot we logged into our netflix and amazon account . Great for us. But if everyone does it when wifi available that will eat the bandwith. 4. Bathroom ultra modern. 5. Kitchen good 6. If you have the windows open you can hear next door. If you are on the ground then you will hear upstairs. 7. No shop open at time. But tesco 2 min in car or 5 min walk. A huge tesco not an express. 8. Unless you are bear grills or adventure thrull seeker who likes mountain climbing. Its the car taxi or the bus from stop outside into the town. We attempted a.walk half way and gave up. 9. Parking is plenty but its a free for all with very very small spaces. Lots of work vans when we visited 10. Only a bar open when we visited . Resteraunt partial completed but does look to very high standard. The most interesting part of our stay. Check in is 4pm. Dont even dream of going before 4pm. Its like a stampede gold rush at 4...

Nice place for a base.
Staff very helpful. Accommodation good, equipment in the kitchen good, if you are staying by the entertainment, music went on till 12, on the plus side swimming pool was close .
