“Couples review”

Ideal for visiting Harry Potter and you get a free express pass with the hotel. We stayed in February when the weather was ideal, so there were not many crowds. We were left alone totally. Ideal for comfy long term stay. If you want a cheap short term stay use any hotel on International drive. If you need any advise ask the concierge. The hotel is expensive to eat in but if you go out the car park and take a right there are lots of restaurants. Dont take lots of clothes and do not take any posh ones. Everyone worke 3/4 trousers/capri pants and polo shirts.

“Feedback to Hotel”

Feedback to hotel: put bigger boats to transfer people from hotel to the Universal parks or increase the number of boats so that wait time does not exceed 10 minutes (versus 30-45 minutes depending the time of the day).

“Just the ticket”

Excellent hotel for Universal theme parks - door key is pass to express track on rides, essential at busy times. The rooms have two big doubles so very versatile accomodation. Attempting a mock-up of Portofino sounds pretty cheesy at best, but this really looks fantastic coming back on the water taxi in the evening sunlight.

“Orlando's best hotel”

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the staff were fantastic and would do anything for you, I would recommend the club lounge for the extra cost it is really good value. the location for Universal parks,City walk other facilities is second to none all 5 mins away. If I went to Orlando again this is the only place I would stay

“Amazing Hotel”

This hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff were really friendly and helpful, although we booked a garden view, they were happy to give us a balcony overlooking the harbour for no extra charge. It was very relaxing, stunning grounds, excellent pools, great atmosphere, we only had one meal in one of the restaurants (Mama Bella) but it was delicious and the singers were great, they even sang Honky Tonk Woman for us! The room was great with a huge twin sink bathroom and the cleaners did a great job everyday. 10/10

“absolute luxury”

I stayed at this hotel for one night for the purpose of gaining front of the line access to universal orlando theme park rides. It was expensive but worth every penny. I had never stayed in a 5 star hotel before and it was fabulous. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are luxurious. The bathroom was bigger than mine at home! I would definitely recommend this hotel. There is entertainment at the waterfront on certain nights- spectacular. Overall a fantastic stay and I will definitely be returning.

“Portofino Bay Hotel Orlando”

Overall, the experience I anticipated based upon the variouse reviews I read before starting my holiday were born out. Condition of the hotel and the service of all staff was excellent. A slight niggle was the fact that valet parking was added to our bill instead of self parking, but once queried was rectified straight away. My biggest reservation was over the food. I know it may seem churlish to moan about there only being 'italian' food on offer in an italian themed resort but we struggled to find fresh vegetables with anything. I will exempt the Bice restaurant from this critisism as we never dined there. All in all we thouroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would recommend to anyone with a caveat about the dining in the resort.

“Paradise”

My family stayed at Portofino for 4 nights from August 17th. A fantastic experience from the service to the food and rthe wonderful entertainment in the main square. We will be back and after spending week at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas it seemed reasonably priced also. Harry Goldspink
