“Superb Hotel with a great view of the Harbour and Kowloon.”

Just got back from a week here it and it was the best hotel i've ever stayed in. I spent a bit more to get a Harbour view room which was also a corner room. The extra was worth it, windows were from the floor to the ceiling and what an amazing view of the harbour and Kowloon it was too. At night I used to sit listening to music via my ipod (dock in the room) with cool air con on and a cool beverage from the fridge and watch the shipping and the world go by. Courteous and friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was great and the hotel food superb. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

“Just what we needed”

After a 14 hour flight (delayed at LHR) and lost luggage at HKIA all we wanted was a comfortable hotel with pleasant, friendly staff: and that's exactly what we got. The staff were excellent, the room clean and the bed so comfortable we slept for 12 hours! We were only in HK on a stop over, but, because of the hotel's location were able to get to the harbour for the light show and walk to the peak tram. Definitely worth it for the price.

“Greta Hotel At A Great Price”

Although a little out of the central area this is a great hotel for a traveller at an extremely competitive price. The hotel is modern, clean, quiet and the staff are the friendliest I have encountered for a long time, they always greet you with a smile. In common with most Hong Kong hotels the rooms are not large but they are more than adequate for 2 people to be very comfortable in. The nearest tram stop is only 2 minutes away for a cheap journey into central Hong Kong and at only HK$2 very cheap. For the less adventurous or those who like a little comfort you can easily get a taxi from outside the hotel for a relatively inexpensive trip to central Hong Kong. There are many shops located around the hotel, chemist, 7-Eleven, laundry and others so getting those little necessities are no problem. Take time to explore the local area. Although there are no big restaurants catering specifically for tourists there are a lot of little local eateries that you can try. Be adventurous and give them a go for more authentic Chinese food. Saying that there is a 24 hour McDonalds for those in need of a burger fix within a 5 minute walk. I will definitely be using this hotel again on my next visit.

“Wonderful Views”

Travelled with adult son and we were allocated adjoining rooms with connecting door should we wish to use it, which epitomised the attention to detail that we experienced throughout our stay. Also our rooms must have been upgraded as they had a full harbour view - lovely by day and superb by night! Service was excellent. We requested additional pillows and these were delivered to our room in less than ten minutes. Although we only ate in the hotel on a couple of occasions, the a la carte menu was extensive and food good. Did not try the buffet but it looked very appetising. The pool was cool but beautifully clean and well maintained. Yes, the area is the dried fish district, making it rather pungent but very unique and interesting. Several supermarkets nearby for cheap, good quality, bottled water etc. The trams are frequent and easy to use (although very crowded) and connect with the bus stations and MTR stations. Otherwise taxis are numerous and reasonable so travelling around is no problem. However, we had a day trip to Macau and had not realised that it was akin to airport-type controls of immigration/form filling/passport checks etc. plus your ticket is for a timed ferry. Ours was timed three quarters of an hour after we arrived so the whole journey from hotel to landing on Macau took over two and half hours! Moral - leave VERY early. The weather was the only disappointment.

“Island Pacific Hotel Hong Kong Friendly and Welcoming Hotel”

We stayed at the Island Pacific Hotel for 13nts commencing 24/5/9. The hotel was excellent, with very friendly and welcoming staff, who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The swimming pool was a great way to relax. The hotel is only 15 minute walk to central and even quicker by tram which is located outside hotel. The harbour view rooms are recommended. This was a GREAT Hotel and would recommend for value and central location on Hong Kong Island.

“We will go back again!!”

What a pleasant surprise! Everyone we met from the first minute was extremely polite and helpful. The guys on the door were able to help out with numerous options for transport to all the main sites in and around Hong Kong. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a lovely shower. Pool was a nice oasis for those humid afternoons! The tram was 100 yards away and taxis (which are very reasonable) could be found very easily. People have said the smell of fish was bad. Well, you cannot smell anything in the hotel and outside you get used to it very quickly because it really isn't very strong. It was never an issue for us, just another part of the experience! We would definitely stay there again when we go back to this amazing place!!
