“Great Service, Great Location, Comfy Rooms”

To be honest, we weren't sure about booking outside of Manhattan, but this hotel is a real find in a great location. Quiet, amazing views over the water, in a great town with loads of bars and restaurants and dead easy to get into NY. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, breakfasts were fab and the room was ideal. The only thing I would say is, don't book a cab through the hotel, because it seems to give the drivers carte blanche to double the price you would pay if you just walked down to the station (two mins) and picked one up there. We will go back to this place.

“Looking forward to my next visit”

Clean, tidy town where this hotel is located. Has everything you need without the stress Manhatten has. You can still visit Manhatten within Mins from this location as well.

“Great hotel in a superb location”

Great new hotel overlooking the Hudson and with SPECTACULAR views of the Manhattan skyline. We had the "Spectacular" room grade and it was definitely worth the extra money. Three blocks from the PATH into Manhattan - runs 24 x 7. Was clean and safe when we used it - great way to get around. Hoboken itself is undergoing a rejuvenation - mice place to be too.

“LOL & DENISE BECKETT OF BOLTON UK”

Hoboken was a great place to stay away from the hussle and bussle of the big city . very convenient with the path train only a minutes walk away, and only ten minutes to the empire states building. hoboken had lots of lovely bars for a casual drink to some great food. the hotel W with it beening right on the river with the back drop of manhatton was just fabulous. would recommend this hotel to anyone the only thing i would not recommend is to make a phone call to the UK from your hotel room. WE will return hopefuly in the summer

“Better than Manhatten”

As a convenient alternative to Manhatten this hotel can't be bettered. And there is the aadvantage of seeing the island just accross the river. Service and standards are right up with the best although is you want the Victorian style Mid town is hard to beat. 12 Minutes on the train and you are in the city but the charming shops and boutiques of Hoboken are worth a visit

“Great Hotel with Unforgettable Views across New York”

This is a beautiful Hotel and would stay again if I had the money. It was my third visit to New York and i wanted to stay somewhere with decent bedrooms because previously I have stayed in Manhattan and the rooms are really small and not up to much. The room was beautiful, amazing big bed, big flat screen TV, good shower, bath robes and the 360 degree chair is fantastic, great for lying about reading USA Today with views you will never forget - while waiting for my girlfriend to get ready (for once I didn't mind she could take as long as she wants). The lobby and reception was done out nicely - very on trend - some people might not like the music playing and the light so low in the reception area (it is like you have walked into a club) and the place gets really busy on Sat night with the locals having a night out there but security is professional and very polite. Easy access to Manhattan - literally 5 mins walk down the river to the PATH that can take you wo the WTC site or a couple of other sites up to 33rd St. Under $2each way. the PATH takes about 10 or 15 mins max. We loved it, it is not cheap but you definately get what you pay for. Hoboken is nice as well and even has a good India restaurant up the main street.

“already booked to go back .. chic & modern”

Fantastic hotel. we were greeted straight away by friendly and polite staff which is hard to find in some hotels. new modern and stylish hotel. has a nice restaurant and great bar which makes lovely apple martinis $12 but if you want cocktails abit cheaper there is a great bar round the courner...alook the boardwalk. has its own nightclub and gym which looked nice. 5 minute walk to path train station and cheap fares $1.75 each journey from nj to new york city. use a pass and top up as you go. and buy a metrocard for your whole stay at the airport. saves you money. if coming from newark prices should be about $40 by taxi to the airport. patick the staff guy at the hotel help my boyfriend and i get taxis. plus amy the receptionist was very helpful on places to go locally and loved our rooms...definately upgrade your room...fantastic views from the wonderful and spectular rooms... there is a great 50's style burger place that serves fresh burgers ...try it. i have already booked to go back in march and i only went end of october.. TO SUM IT UP...CHEAPER AND BETTER VIEWS THAN IN MANHATTAN, STYLISH NEW HOTEL...15MINS TO GET TO NYC TIME SQUARE FROM HOTEL...WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Great Location, Great Hotel, Amazing Views”

Just got back from The W Hoboken Hotel, having spent 4 nights there to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary. What a great hotel and absolutely amazing views of Manhattan. We'll be back! I'd told the hotel it was our anniversary before we arrived and in our room was a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberry's - nice touch. We had a spectacular king room so sat on the huge swivel sofa chair, admiring the view of Manhattan and scoffed the lot! Hoboken is a nice town with everything you need if you can't find the energy for Manhattan. Or, as others have written, very easy public transport into NYC. Drinks and food in the hotel are expensive (food in Zylo's is excellent quality) but you expect to pay more in a place of this quality. No tea and coffee in the rooms (this would be a good plus) but complimentary coffee is available every morning in the lobby. Changing/shower facilities would also be a nice touch for those with late flights home. Our flight was not until 10pm and after a day in NYC we had to get changed in the WC in the lobby, but this is a minor observation. Overall this is a chic, modern/moody, high quality hotel that will not suit everyone but our experience of it was fantastic and when we go back to NYC we'll be staying there and would recommend it to those looking for a 'hip' place to stay with amazing views over Manhattan.

“Great hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Manhatten Island”

The W Hoboken is a new hotel and although it doesn't look much from the outside, it has a smart and funky interior. It is located in Hoboken which is across the Hudson from Manhatten Island. Hoboken is a quiet retreat in comparison to the hustle and bustle of Manhatten Island. It is a five minute walk from the PATH and Ferry terminals. PATH trains run to Manhatten on a regular basis with the trip not lasting more than 15 minutes (depending where you get off) Room was a spectacular queen on the 14th floor which gave great views across the Hudson to Manhatten, ours overlooked the empire states building. Beds comfy, bathroom good sized, shower powerful, cable TV inclduing HD channels (sport looks good in HD!), air con was noisy but we didn't need it on during our stay. It seems the nightclub is the "in place" for Hoboken on a Saturday night. We only went in the once but beat the queue since the door staff had a list of hotel guests at the door. It was free to enter but drinks were pricey at around $20 for a glass of wine and a vodka and coke. The bar in the lobby also seemed popular over the weekend with the same prices as above. There are plenty of eateries and bars in Hoboken. Each with their own characteristics. Would recommend this place to young couples. You won't be dissapointed.
