"The host was very welcoming and explained everything to us as we were guided to our accomodation. What a lovely surprise, a deck to view the rolling hills and river from, step inside this 1840 exquisite building and first thing that greets you is a cask of port with enough in it for 6 tipples sitting on that lovely deck (which also has a bbq btw). The bed was amazingly comfortable and the area is very peaceful. The host also suppies the many books he has written and published and he has copies...

Had everything we needed for a wk stay, kept on extending it as there was no other place we rather stay at. 2 min drive from the mall and all amenities, waterfront is a few mins drive away as well. Great quality linen, towels, bath products and shower pressure was perfect. Very private and easy parking, yet on the main road and fast to get into the bridge to go into the city. Would book again! "

The hosts involved the children in the morning feeding schedule with the donkeys, alpacas, the goat Princess Mary and the long horn Highland cattle along with explaining interesting characteristics. A stroll with the dogs around the property on a crisp morning and visit the horses. There was plenty of space to run, specially made climbing equipment and inside activities at the barbecue hut. Temperatures reached -4 but heating in chalet...

"Absolutely brilliant. The most peaceful place to stay with nature and wildlife right there on the doorstep. This is not a 5 star hotel with room service and in-house movies, this is a place to reconnect with your loved ones and the environment. No TV makes you talk to each other without any distractions. "We arrived for our stay in Hobart and waited until 2pm for check in. When we got to Hobart Apartments, there was nobody in reception, so i rang the number on the door. I was then informed that the room was leaking and unavailable for us to stay in and that we should have been informed of this 2 weeks prior but never were. We were basically left stranded with an 8wk old baby and nowhere to stay and when i told them that all she said was "google somewhere else". Very poor service from Hobart...
