We loved this adorable hotel. Our room was decorated in tartan and, although not huge, fit our needs perfectly. I highly recommend you add the breakfast on to your stay, as it was delicious and convenient. The Argyll is cosy and homey, and very convenient to get to the University (15 minute walk).

The standard of hotel and room was excellent for the price, great breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again and choose " honeymoon suite" ( though we werent on honeymoon!) Very ornate & comfortable room, brilliant shower facilities and very clean.

The family room was a nice size and decorated beautifully. The linens were comfortable and the shower was great. The breakfast was fabulous and abundant. The around the hotel was clean and easily walkable.

We were in a room on the fourth floor a converted attic with one roof window, which you could open slightly. It was very hot and cramped . I asked staff for a fan to cool the room. They had none. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable . There is a lift to the upper floors Parking was very disappointing they advertise a small car park with 5 spaces. This was full throughout our stay, staff ha no idea who was using the car park or if they were hotel users that were using it. There is parking outside the hotel 80 pence for 15 minutes which is very expensive and maximum 3 hours stay and free between 6pm and 8 am. We had to park at the exhibition center a 15 minutes walk away. This was not highlighted to me when i phoned prior to our stay to ask about parking . It would be helpful to be clear and visible about the parking difficulties. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly helpful and efficient. The reception staff also were friendly and tried to be helpful with limited resorces to help guests. The area appears run down and it was a two mile walk into the city shopping center. There is a good restaurant if you are vegetarian.

You DO NOT want to stay at this hotel if the temperature in Glasgow gets above 19 and sunny, at least on the upper floors! There is NO a/c and my room was very warm, difficult to sleep. They did give me a fan, it all that does is blow hot air around!

Stayed on the 4th floor in a room where the floor was uneven and loud and carpet was extremely dirty. The room smelled of stale smoke and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. You could hear your neighbors and it was just a creepy feel hotel. Would not stay there again if you paid me.

Good location and breakfast was varied and great service. Our room was very small for the price compared to our other 8 sites in Scotland where we are staying. Needs new flooring and carpeting upstairs. Front desk service not very knowledgeable on area. Need to notify guests that rooms will be cleaned.

Quant hotel with a Clan Mackenzie touch. Room for 4 was spacious enough but we did book the family room with 3 singles and a double bed for extra space. Plenty of food choices nearby and the bus stop only meters away for the regular services as well as the hop on hop off service

Perfect for concerts/events at the Hydro. Rooms are clean and fully equipped. Buffet breakfasts are served between 7 & 10am in restaurant downstairs and are top quality. Check in and out is very easy and quick.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst going to see the Cure at the Ovo Hydro. Could not fault the hotel at all. Staff were really friendly, rooms were comfortable and clean with lots of milks for the tea and coffee! The breakfast was excellent with friendly and helpful staff and it was excellent value for money! Will definitely stay again when I'm next in Glasgow.

Lovely warm , plenty of space . Bathroom big, great heated towel rack. The shower was a walk in, water pressure fantastic. Plenty of hot water. For the price I found the hotel vey good. A few parking spaces out the back, we managed to grab one for the two nights we stayed. Also walking distance to everything.

Excellent location for Hydro. Easy train into town centre. Hotel extremely dated. We were on floor 4, ceiling in corridor had obviously had leakage and looked awful. Room was clean apart from carpet. One of the beds badly needed a new mattress and when mentioned this to reception, guy only smiled at me. Not what i expected.
