The building was under repairs and my room was the only room on my floor open. The builders started at 8.30am, waking me. The room was dated, not clean. Windows a mess and merky. Window sils uncleaned. Bathroom dated. Kettle discusting. When I asked the manager why I was not told the building was under maintenance... She got firm with me telling me that it was definitely in my booking confirmation and in the finer details of Expedia.... I have checked twice, but I can't find any anywhere, even three days later. I stayed for two nights and only had enough (cheap Brussels) instant coffee for two cups. When I asked for more coffee, I was told that they do not supply more than what is there, she would not budge. She then went on to say that house keeping is only every 5 days. Yes the building is on beach, which is why I paid a premium to be there, however for the state of the building, it's cleanliness, and the rudeness of the management, I would take up the other options in the area that were often half the price.

The position of this property is amazing! However that is the only positive thing I can say about our stay here, room was a dirty, old and dated. Bathrooms were awful! Says there was a sauna on property and there was in the basement!! Beds were very uncomfortable. Noise from street was loud also. Would not stay again!

The negatives of the property were far outweighed by the positives. I’ve read a lot of the reviews and most of the negatives are real things BUT the positives pale them into insignificance. The pain positives: - location is world class. Dozens of awesome places to eat and shop within a stones throw - the view is breathtaking - HEATED swimming pool. Can literally jump in rain hail and shine and the temp is awesome. Pool heated to 30 and spa at 35. Even on a hot day, ideal temp. - BBQ area is wild. Perfect for cooking up a feast and very chilled. The apartment we had wasn’t renovated but it didn’t matter. Couch was brand new leather one and the bed was comfy enough. Great place to stay. Loved it.

Excellent locations and accommodation
Great spot to stay, right on the beach. excellent value and clean and comfortable. Its a little dated but very well maintained. Perfect position in Broadbeach. about 5 minutes from the cafes and restaurants, Buses are at your doorstep if you need to get to Surfer's Paradise and SeaWorld as well as Pacific Fair shopping centre. It is a very quiet location and great views. Definatley recommend

The room is not clean as reviews. Feel dirty in bathroom and sofas. broken and old furniture. Only positive issue is the view to face the ocean and nothing else.

Very nice place, and have stayed a few times before. Nice spacious apartment, secure parking, let down only by lack of supplied toiletries (no tissues, shampoo supplied for some reason which I found unusual).

The best part was the room on the ad. Was the exact room we were given. The staff was excellent to deal with. Got home from trip and saw I was double billed. Phoned and talked to an Expedia Bot and got frustrated. Phoned direct to the Talisman . Had me fixed in 24 hours. Expedia is still the way to go though. Have used for all my trips and this was the first bump. All Good

We stayed in a 2 bed/2 bath unit on the 23rd floor. Recently renovated, clean, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, magnificent views - just fantastic, we couldn’t fault a thing. We’ll definitely be back!

Great location - but a little noisy .. you could hear people on the street at night and your neighbours . New bathrooms and kitchen which was great .. but needed a thorough clean and Lounge needed to be steam cleaned. Balcony doors were rusty and didn’t lock very well . I would also suggest a room higher than level 5.. otherwise you don’t get much of a beach view. The apt managers were lovely and very helpful and you do get an underground car park for your car. Good location for families.

Talisman apartments is a jewel on the Gold Coast, we had a beautiful apartment on floor 23 with stunning sea views, so much so I didn’t want to give the keys back on checkout Management of the property are lovely, I would recommend the talisman to anybody, you will not be disappointed.

3 good things were that the property had a great view, well located and a nice sunny pool. The room itself was dated and tired, in dire need of a refurbishment. The manager was also tired and short.

Management made our late check in as easy as possible and we’re helpful and friendly the entirety of our stay. The pool was heated throughout the stay and the apartment was clean and had great ocean views. Overall very pleased 😊

I had to ask for toilet paper as 1 bathroom had none and one had half a roll. there was also no drying rack. This is basic stuff.
