“Perfect - with a fanastic beach”

Clean, comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast and fantastic location. Beach restaurants ( not part of the hotel) offer incredible choice- some 200 dishes at ridiculously cheap prices and it was all delicious. Will go back soon.

“Great family hotel”

Lovely staff and service is excellent. They cant do enough for you. The gardens and pool area are lovely. Food also was a very high standard in the hotel restaurants that we used. Our only criticism is that the rooms are 'tired'. The bathroom needed updating and wasn't the quality you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

“Good place for unite tranquil stay”

Very pleasant hotel in excellent surrounding - would suit anyone wanting a tranquil setting with limited activities and relating holiday! Negative is the really expensive prices for food compared to local excellent restaurants and not hacking free wi-fi access as in many other 5 star hotels.

“Bit of a let down”

We had really looked forward to arriving in Goa for a bt of 5 star luxury after a more hectic couple of weeks in North India. The price of the hotel, the food and drinks was the only thing 5 star about this hotel and before I go on I must say we are usually very easy to please. The staff are very pleasant and friendly but the rooms were drab and badly decorated and the bathroom was a very poor standard. Now I am a bit fussy about bathrooms but the mirror was rusting, the bath was cracked and the tiles were cracked. If I had paid a little less maybe I wouldnt be so fussy but this was more a 3 star standard. Restaurants did good food but desperately lacked atmosphere though I must say you can use the bars and restaurants over at the Taj Village and they were much better. We changed rooms half way through our stay and in the first room we got flowers on the bed, slippers, dressing gowns etc. In the second room we got nothing not even the slippers nor were our toiletries replaced which we found a bit inconsistent. However, it was a clean hotel, with a nice swimming pool and a good location, although the beach and sea were not as nice as others in Goa. If you want a more luxurious hotel, nicer beaches and a clear sea go to the Taj Exotica in South Goa as that hotel is fantastic and the beaches and sea are beautiful. If you want to go to North Goa because there is more happening than in the South, then I would suggest there are better hotels for the money.

“Not considered value for money”

The hotel is one of the nicer ones and does have some lovely features (hammocks, terraces, pools, bar). However, as a young couple we found ourselves at the bottom of the pile when it came to service. I was aware that 5 star in India isn't the same as 5 star elsewhere but for the price we expected at least excellent service e.g. friendly staff, a welcome drink/towel on arrival (we did get handed two vouchers but no one talked us through the hotel amenities or what was in the local area and didn't seem interested in helping when we asked other than the waiters in one of the restaurants). The pool at the neighbouring Taj Village was lovely and the grounds were also really nice. Our visit was marred more by our expectations - if you visit during a busier period or get the right staff and your expectations aren't too high then you'll have a great time.
