We have stayed in a number of motels in Australia and this one had the least charm, a grim location near no amenities and a room that was noisy and sticky (it needed a proper clean). At least it inspired us to be up very early!

The owners of the Aaron have gone above and beyond to supply guests with what they may need for cooking at the outdoor kitchen. The pool has a partial covering supplying some shade and is a very nice area for relaxing and visiting with other travellers. The rooms are really well maintained. On the ground floor, we had a patio with table and chairs outside the back sliding doors and was excellent for watching the kids playing basketball across the street and for just watching the world go by...

It was nice to be able to find accommodation for a family of 6 without having to pay a premium or be in separate motel rooms. Our family really enjoyed staying here and we will definitely be back.

We got in late and had made prior arrangement for late check in. The staff were helpful in that regard. Everything was in order, clean and fridge & coffee/tea service stocked up. It was a short few hours stay before heading over to the jetty for boat to Heron Island.

Good little motel, worth the money paid
Used as an overnight on a longer car journey. Good, clean and pretty quiet for its location and the amount of cars there. Would stay again

Thats unusual normally the water pressure is good, we will get that checked out along with the air conditioner, we do find the air conditioners out side unit does make a bit more noise when they are on heat during the winter.

The door you are refering to is a second bedroom, it does not open to another motel room. We will follow up with our cleaners to pull out the leather reclining armchairs and vacumn under them.

The room was tidy and spacious, staff were friendly. Parking was sufficient and wifi worked well. TV had Netflix however couldn't work out how to get normal Free to Air TV. Unfortunately the evening we stayed there was a very noisy family next door that had no consideration for others. Overall it was value for money and a good place to stay and would stay again.

Thankyou Suzanne, to get free to air TV on the remote, you either go to source then DTV. Or Home then live TV.Families are a problem for all Motels when some perants dont supervise their children, we try when we are made aware a problem.

Aaron Motel is in a convenient location in Gladstone, Qld.The room was comfortable with a private accessible outdoor area. There was a problem with small cockroaches on and around the kitchenette bench in the room. Great pool, clean. Facilities for washing and drying clothes

The Aaron is not the Hilton - but we knew that when we paid such an inexpensive rate. Externally, the property is a little tired, but it is conveniently located yet in a relatively quiet spot with undercover parking. Our room was excellent - clean and comfortable and appeared to be recently renovated. The balcony was a pleasant extra, the fridge was a good size and the MW and crockery etc allowed us to easily self-cater. TV was good and Wi-Fi was excellent, supporting a 3-hour zoom seminar with no glitches. We didn't have time to try out the pool or spa - but they both looked pleasant. We would be very happy to stay here again when in Gladstone. It was excellent value for money.

Staff were not that friendly. I complained about the snell of sewage in the bathroom and the woman said we are waiting for the Plummer to come and fix it. It stunk that much I did not want to have a shower in there. And I showed the staff the mouldy stuff behind the lounge chair on the farier. And she said nothing. I was really disgusted with the place

The drain smell is very easy to recity if we are told, Extra work has now rectified that issue in all rooms with the fitment of extra valves. Behind the leather recliner armchair, out of view we sprinkle ant killer during the hot rainy season it is not mould. You did not raise any issues with us tbetween check in to check out and seem aggitated because you booked the wrong date and were asked to park in the correct carpark.
