We loved both Galway and Victoria Hotel. The location could not have been more convenient for us. It took us less than 5 minutes to walk to the hotel from the train, one minute walk to Eyre Square, within 5 minutes we were at Trad Music pubs like King's Head, tis Coli, and Taaffes, about 15 minutes walk to The Crane our, Trad on the Prom is an amazing performance in Galway and you can catch a cab from the hotel to go see it, our Galway Tours buses were only one block from our hotel...the location was perfect! The hotel was very nice, the beds were comfortable. We were there in May and like most hotels in Ireland there is no air conditioning. It was the perfect temperature both inside and outside the hotel. I'm wondering if a person was to stay at the hotel during the summer, they might be a bit hot in the room? There is an Irish breakfast which is included with the meal and it was pretty tasty. We completely loved it, all the way around, and hope to stay at the hotel again.

Very nicely decorated room. Love the heated mirror in the bathroom. A little small but I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast was good.

This is our 2nd time staying in Victoria Hotel. Lovely friendly obliging staff and a breakfast fit for a king and Queen. It was great also to have a few news papers at the reception area as a lot of older people still like to relax and read them. Lovely and quiet at night time also. The Victoria is convenient to Eyre Square, the harbor and shopping district. Nikkie was so great at breakfast and in the Pub!!

The only downer on this site was the parking was NOT on site!! Also one-way street in makes it a tad difficult to get through. The property ITSELF however is GRAND, as was the food too!

We had great service here. We got to Galway early and they stored our bags for us. Our room was ready relight at check in. Room was exactly as stated. We checked out early and went on a tour and again they held our bags for the day.

Perfect spot in Galway for a family with kids
We were traveling with our daughter (7) and chose Victoria Hotel because they had a room with 2 beds. It's also super close to everything (2-5 min walk from the thick of city center) but just enough removed that it's nice and quiet at night. Very clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast was great. You can't go wrong with this place!

Would like to thank the very amazing Dervla who made our stay so friendly and homely and welcoming from the moment we met her. My sister and myself were down for the night and because of Dervla we would have no hesitation in returning. The hotel is newly refurbished and beautifully done but still quite dark inside but Dervla brightened it up so much. Without her there it would not have been a very welcoming visit.

Weekend away
The room was comfortable and clean but there is building work goung on adjacent to the hotel and there is building noise. We were moved to a diffeent room away from the direction of the building works but unfortunately we were still able to hear the noise. The hotel is very nice and the staff are very helpful but the building noise is something that is outside the control of yhe hotel. So maybe they should post something on their website to let customers know before they book.

Beautiful hotel close to train station and only a few mins for Eyre Square, order pizza in bar for kids all said it was delicious. Staff all very friendly. Would definitely stay again.
