However it does need a little love and attention- could definitely do with a bit of renovation (there were some works going on whilst we were there) nothing major and it didn’t inconvenience us at all) so maybe in a few months improvements will show. "Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. "
